The delete account button does not work [mobile web]

i have raised this issue multiple times. Browser and device independent.

Delete my account. I will just start posting non-allowed stuff soon if you don't, considering asking nicely doesn't help.

[IOS app] Losing place in comment threads after locking then unlocking phone.

Every time I lock my phone and then unlock it, my comment thread has jumped back up to comments I’ve already read. This was happening a couple months ago as well. It was seemingly fixed and now it’s happening again. Also my post feed refreshes pretty much every time I lock my phone. Maddening.

[Chrome] I can't reply to people?

I keep getting this error when I try to reply to someone.

"an error occurred (status: 404)"

I can make posts and reply to posts but I can't seem to reply to other replies. It also seems to be intermittent.

[firefox browser] Error 404 when trying to post a comment from old Reddit on desktop web.

Recently I've been getting error messages when trying to post comments from old reddit on desktop. Each attempt results in a message that says:

>an error occurred (status: 404)

and the post doesn't proceed. Switching to sh.reddit allows posting again, but switching back to old reddit brings the error back again. This wasn't an issue until a few hours ago.

edit: formatting and terminal sentence

Custom feed cannot sort by Top

I have a very specific custom feed filled with cute animals and funny posts for me to scroll through when I feel down. I can sort by all of the other categories. But when I sort by Top, it brings up posts that are obviously not from my feed.

How can I fix this?

Complete 2026 PURSUE Research Tool: Search, View, Play and Map All 517 Government Files

The five 2026 PURSUE releases contain 517 files spread across documents, images, audio and video. Trying to work through the material as released means jumping between separate tranches, ZIP files, folders and different media types.

So I built the tool I wanted while researching it.

It lets you:

  • Search and filter all 517 files across all five releases in one place.
  • Open everything directly in your browser. Documents, images, video and audio all have built-in viewers or players.
  • Use a Map Room to see incidents, facilities and reporting locations geographically where the released information provides a usable location. It also has a topographic overlay for reports where terrain may be relevant.
  • Go straight back to the primary source. Every item retains a direct link to the original government source so you can verify it yourself.

The collection currently covers the May 8 through August 7 releases and material from the Department of War, FBI, NASA, CIA, State Department, Air Force and Department of Energy. It will be updated as additional PURSUE releases come out.

Full disclosure: the tool lives on The Daily Alien, the UFO/UAP news and research site I run. I asked the UFOB moderators before posting this and received permission. There is no paywall, no registration and I'm not asking for money.

https://thedailyalien.com/report.html?id=uap-govt-report-2026&dossier=uap-2026-a-executive-summary

If you use it, I'd particularly like to hear about any missing files, metadata errors or map locations that need correcting.

And if you have additional information that sheds light on any of the reports, videos, images or documents, I'd like to hear about that too. Where useful, we may be able to add clearly labeled researcher notes or addenda alongside the original material while keeping the government record itself untouched.

The point is to make this material as easy as possible for people here to actually research.

Show fewer posts like this don't work Android

I commented in the Palworld subreddit and was part of the community for a little bit. I left I no longer want to see those posts because I'm no longer playing the game. Every single time I open Reddit I still get pushed to the subreddit. I don't really understand the point of showing fewer posts as an option if you're going to continuously push it every single time I open the app. It's not even that the subreddit is controversial I just don't want to look at it every single time I open it. Please fix this

[desktop web] Normal post inexplicably removed automatically by Reddit's filters rather than subreddit filters

I came back to Reddit after avoiding it for two years because I wanted to make a Minecraft-related project for fun and needed community input for it.

My post was automatically deleted, instantly, with the error "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters."

Given that no mod mail was sent and the error didn't say anything about subreddit rules (which I read thoroughly and followed) I can only assume that this is a site issue, not a sub issue.

Given that my post adhered to Reddit community guidelines, I can only assume this is a bug.

A screenshot of a Reddit post that was deleted instantly. Post title: I am in need of inspiration. Post flair: Community input wanted! (Meme project) Post content: It's been two years since I last used Reddit. I am 28 (old) and haven't been keeping up with modern memes.I want to make a Minecraft panorama to share with the world, using primarily Blender. I can work with 2.5D rather than strictly 3D. I figure PhoenixSC memes or at least anything you guys would 💀 at should work. This is purely for fun and won't be the only one that I make, but for a Gen Alpha memes panorama, I am tragically lacking in relevant culture.GIFs and videos not viable unless recognizable as still images due to how Minecraft's panorama system works (or worked, I guess, it's been a long time since I made one of these and they might've changed how panoramas work)Conceptual memes (amogus, loss) are easier to work aroundTimeless memes (rickroll is the only one I can think of off the top of my head at the moment) are best, but anything that will get Gen Alpha going 💀 should work fine (I may make a separate Gen Z meme panorama later)Memes that require sound to be funny will most likely not work, unless seeing the visual is enough to invoke memory of a sound in the viewer's headWhy Phoenix's subreddit? What other community would I ask about a Minecraft-related meme project? r/Minecraft? Memes are explicitly disallowed on that subreddit and I would get slapped immediately.Have you heard of the [insert mod name] mod? Doesn't matter, I intend to make it possible for people to use this without having to install mods, by making it as a resource pack. Can you integrate it with [insert mod name] mod for menu panoramas? Nothing is 100% off the table, but don't get your heart set on it happening. What do I do if I can't comment an image? If you can name the meme or send me a link to a wiki on it, that should also work.Time limit? Not really, I'll be making other stuff for a little while before coming back to check on this, maybe a week or so before I even get started on this specific thing. No need to rush.Have you used Blender to make a Minecraft panorama before? Yeah, I posted about it a LONG time ago, under a different Reddit account. I made a new account because I couldn't change my username to reflect my current identity, due to Reddit's username policy. I don't know if Reddit ever changed the policy. You can find my first panorama here if you want to look at it.Will you use AI? Nope. Will I need to pay for access? Absolutely not. This is purely a for-fun project that I intend to share with the community. (End post) Below the post is an error code stating \"Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit's filters.\"

My best guess as to what went wrong is that I was falsely flagged as a bot.

I'm just hyperlexic with an obsessive attention to detail. I don't use AI because it makes too many mistakes and it's easier to just write what I want to say instead of going back and editing bot output.

Is there a way to un-delete this? Or post it again without it being automatically deleted again or making things worse?

Is there a flag on my account or something that I just don't know about, and need to get worked out before I can post? I have 2FA enabled, I wasn't hacked as far as I'm aware.

I have no idea how to navigate this.

[Mobile Web] Can Reddit Please Acknowledge and Address The Widespread Spurious Locks of accounts occurring since ~07/08/2026

Hi there,

There have been a flood of posts of people having issues with spurious locks on their Reddit accounts, and arbitrary lockouts and password change requests for around the past 10 days. See:

https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1vppc1w/

https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1voevk3/android_account_locked_cant_reset_password/

https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1vmi39f/

https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1vkf0ze/

https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1viimcs/could_there_be_a_wave_of_account_locking/

https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1vjow8c/what_the_hell_is_happening_to_reddit/

https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1vpj4p1/my_account_was_locked_can_i_find_out_why/

https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1voes1u/account_got_locked_and_it_changed_my_email_to_the/

https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1vm9g5m/need_admin_help_unlocking_my_main_account/

This is merely scratching the surface on the number of reports, and there are many more, with it largely seeming to be getting silently ignored by Reddit proper, with support cases to Reddit unanswered.

There was even acknowledgement of "a bug" purporting to be addressed on:
https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1vl2im4/

To which comments that it's not fixed were ignored and it's abundantly clear it hasn't been, with different people experiencing a few slightly different (albeit remarkably consistent) symptoms. With this many threads having hundreds of "me too" comments, I have a very hard time believing these are individual account compromises at the scale I'm seeing.

Details of my specific issues and exact symptoms and troubleshooting steps are outlined on https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1vkznza/ related to username u/Grim_Fandango92 which has in addition to being locked out, had a spurious account ban with no warning or notification as such. This issue clearly projects well beyond myself though.

Please can Reddit triage, acknowledge and address these clear bugs across the board and communicate out to affected users as such?

Thanks in advance,

A mildly frustrated Redditor

Help, my account have stranger things!

I created my Reddit account one day, and after creating it, I quickly changed my profile picture and banner. Then, I closed the tab (I'm using a computer), and when I went back to search for reddit.com on Google (I'm using Startpage now), my profile picture and banner had disappeared and reverted to the default ones. When I try to log into my profile to change them back, I get a message in RED at the top saying "We Had A Server Error." When I change my profile picture or banner, it says something went wrong saving the avatar/banner, and it doesn't save. It's NOT a server outage because every time I log in and out, the error with the default profile picture and banner is there waiting for me, and I need help. The AI responses aren't convincing. Here's some information:

1.) I use Firefox, and I've tried it with and without ChromeMask.

2.) I use a VPN, but even after disabling it, the error persists.

3.) I tried clearing the cache, but it didn't work.

4.) If you need more information to help me fix the error, please comment, and I'll reply.

Update: My posts are also being deleted for no reason, supposedly because the community moderators removed them. So I had to upload this on a second account so I could post normally 💀. Everything is working fine on this second account 👌, although I created an avatar on it, so I don't think uploading an image like I tried on my original account will work either. Plus, I still have the default banner on this second account 😭.

Don’t show things like this stopped working (desktop web)

Recently, say the last month or more I’ve been getting way too many recommendations for other subs related to subjects I have zero interest in.

I like having recommendations on since that’s how you find new stuff. But there is such a huge amount of Star Wars and trek subs that the algo will never run out of them to show me despite me saying “don’t show these”.

I thought this used to be context sensitive.
