Second day on sm. Bombed.

First day I was snatched into an almost two hour exclusive upon logging in when rates were set at 5.99 bc admin didn’t respond in time allowing me to raise it. Today I am at 14.99/min and CRICKETS 😥 only one short exclusive and in stripchat just 1tk tips trickled in with a huge side of ROASTING and a mf telling me he has a Toy Story fetish with woody. My rates on sc are set at max so maybe that’s a problem. 😞 I know that’s the nature of this but my ego is a little bruised hah.

Do I need to lower my rates orrrr just take the loss and keep it pushing?

Has anyone experienced or heard of rare cases of crazy tipping? Like 5,10k+ in one go?

Hiii everyone 🤗

I love to read everyone’s wins, I find it inspiring and was just wondering if anyone has any person/verified anecdotes of being tipped outlandishly large amounts and if so was it from a rando or regular?
I’m just curious if that’s even a thing.

Edit *

I also want to add I’m very experienced in sw, but not Camming. It’s an entirely different job from what I was doing within the sw umbrella. I definitely was disillusioned thinking the learning curve wouldn’t be so steep. For in person work large cash/gifts are pretty common, I believe anything is possible but want to pose this question as inspo for what I hope is to one day come ♥️

I’m proud of myself for getting on today.

I’m taking the mid-beginning break (I take a lot of breaks) of my shift right now and I wanted to share this win.

I haven’t been consistent the last few weeks with injuries and travel (I’m usually on at least an hour everyday. Probably only 2-3 times this past two weeks).

This isn’t my usual (average 40/hour), so what’s different? I took a break the night before. I had every intention of getting on last night, I wanted to focus on the competition; but by the end of the day I was beat and I allowed myself to rest. This is not always the choice I make for myself.

What else is different tonight? I felt energized to get on and actually did a little makeup/went on the sexier side of my “look” (I do a lot of oversized t-shirts, off the shoulder, bare face). Although, I feel had I been at the opposite end of my confidence spectrum (baggy shirt/bare face <——->sexier choices) I would have been just as successful because camming, for me at least, success is based on luck and energy, and I know I was giving positive vibes tonight.

Be kind to yourselves, you’re doing a great job. The beauty of this job is that we are rewarded for being the best versions of ourselves. Investing in our overall health is crucial for long term success in my opinion.

Also a thought, for those who need another perspective; if you’re on, you’re always going to get new followers and I personally believe that does matter. It’s marketing time spent, “sweat equity”.
I probably didn’t use that right, but hopefully that makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to read this,
I hope you have a great weekend!

Most banks treat sex work as "high risk" even when it's legal. Protect your accounts and where your income comes from

This is why it's best to have a 3rd party like Cosmo or Masspay and be paid directly into a digital wallet, then transfer to your bank account, so it looks like it's coming directly from them, and NOT one of your adult sites. You may still face questions eventually re: asking for proof of the companies that paid you and where your money came from. It hasn't happened to me personally yet, but it might, and has to others.

I know someone who had her account banned at RBC Royal Bank because of her online sex work, and not hiding where the money was coming from well enough. If she had, she likely would have kept her accounts.

Many bigger banks will freeze/shut down sex worker-owned accounts if they become aware that's where the money is coming from. Protect yourself! Spread out your earnings, I also don't put my savings into the same bank I use for receiving payments. They can use morality clauses and all sorts of "legal" bs (how it's legal, don't ask me) to keep your money and shut down your account.

You are welcome to call around and see if there are any local banks that are open and accepting of sex workers as per their policies. If not, what gets shut down is on a case by case basis, and this is not safe for us whatsoever, and not a risk worth taking.

I also suggest getting an accountant who knows the ins and outs legally when it comes to taxes, and may also be able to guide you a bit on banking. In Canada I personally started using Luca from Spicy Accounting & Tax - https://spicycpa.ca/ and he is incredible, and very hands-on/available for consultation. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him in future years. Others are welcome to share if they have any good American accountants that specialize in this area or are knowledgable, as there certainly aren't enough!

Also, in Canada the bank is allowed to close your accounts and take all your money. You heard me! They can take EVERYTHING. That makes it even more important to protect yourself and also keep your savings at a separate bank altogether.

Banks that are unfriendly for direct deposit from cam sites if you are discovered (that I know of in Canada):

  • RBC Royal Bank
  • Bank of Montreal (BMO) - one of the worst, don't bank here
  • EQ Bank
  • Both Scotia Bank and TD have had some people have no issues, others have more problems and accounts wiped. I wouldn't take the risk of direct deposit there either.

Safer ways of banking:

  • Using Digital Wallets before you transfer to your regular bank - like Cosmo, Masspay, Paxum etc
  • Credit Unions and smaller banks, read their fine print and do your research!

Talktome

I’ve made around $1600 so far on TalkToMe this month so far and honestly I haven’t even been working to my full potential 😭 I took a lot of days off and wasn’t super consistent, so I’m actually pretty happy with it for a first real month.

I used to cam full time for about a year and was averaging around $5k–$8k a month, but I eventually got completely exhausted and burned out from it. Phone sex is obviously a lot less money than full time camming, but it’s also way less draining for me mentally. Considering I’m still figuring things out and haven’t been fully locked in yet, I don’t think it’s a bad start at all. I do hate how much the high percentage talktome takes tho and there’s super creepy calls :(

Canadian cosmo cam girlies

For those of you who live in Canada, but have US dollar Canadian based accounts… Is there anyway that you can get Cosmo to transfer the USD funds as USD funds into my USD account? Or do they always have to do the foreign exchange into Canadian funds themselves? I have asked them as well, but just waiting on an answer. Thanks in advance!

Charging for messaging on SM

Hey ladies, I figured charging 10$ because cock photos and texting lower would be good. But I’m unsure I’m just curious what you ladies charge. :)

Also has this feature been profitable for you?

And any tips or tricks to maximize this feature for stronger earnings?

Ring lights?

Does anyone else dislike ring lights? I want so badly to like them but every time I try one, I feel that they highlight all my flaws. As an older woman, it's not very flattering. I prefer softboxes.

Is there anyone making close to 50k a month?

Just wondering if its possible. This year i want to pay off my student loans 30k and also put 150k into a house. Right now I'm at absolutely 0 been making only 2k-3k past year due to depression. Are my goals possible? I will need to make like 200k-250k in a year and most ive ever really made is like 20k because I often just dont cam for weeks due to depression but I'm realizing I can't keep living like this so I'm motivated now to work harder I just feel a little hopeless like I'll never be able to reach my goals

It finally happened: banned for existing

Welp, it had never happened before because my links are not promoted in my profile directly but I was finally banned from a random subreddit for being a SWer. It was a wardrobe/outfit related sub, the discussion was about a bad friend and then, banhammer! The message reads:

> No producers, promoters, or sellers of adult content or services are permitted in this sub.

I don't take it personally but it's sad how judgemental people can be. 🤷‍♀️ We are literally not allowed places because of our job, lol.

Tips for pacing with chronic illness

So...I've been really trying to make my schedule have a bit of flexibility but still reliable. I rely on live streams heavily when it comes to income, especially because I just started and do not have a high subscriber base on post style platforms. I feel like I am constantly setting the bar lower and still not meeting it. Any advice how to balance it? I feel like my viewers want a schedule. They don't respond well to me saying I'll be live between x and y...but if I try to give an exact time I'm constantly failing to meet that.. even a few times a week. My body does unexpected things. I'm so frustrated. Burning myself out constantly and not doing very much simultaneously is confusing. I know some things now that are starting to make it easier.

I just get so mentally drained by every delay...every sit down to the cam only to get sick...I wrestle through three weeks and then lose the 4th to my cycle, I go live with a cup and people will frequently get frustrated if I turn down penetration...

Don't get me wrong I give myself grace, and sometimes I am doing really well. Other times I feel like I will lose my mind.

I try to phrase it like...this is when I'm available, across platforms. If you want my attention guaranteed, schedule a private. I feel like it is driving away regulars who want consistency though. Also I have to do later in the evening because my days are already overloaded so that certainly doesn't help and I know I can improve there.

And no, I really can't pick up a different job right now...actually for an entirely different reason but. That being said. I need to make this work.

CB fifty shades of grey app

This app is hilarious to me. It only replaces Greys messages with "get some tokens! Until you do your messages will be replaced." But it takes away me having to block them and having to put up with their messages. And just knowing they probably said something they shouldn't without paying and the message was replaced is hilarious.

the other sub accusing a camgirl as if her wins post was an advertisement - UGH!

It really makes me angry - why are they immediately assuming she must be shilling for SM? She shared she had a new tag, and was making $70/h her first month. It's not a crazy amount. Just because they're jealous of her earnings, doesn't mean they need to go on the attack, which often happens in that sub. I made about $100/h as my average by my new tag's end on SM. Yes, I'm quite experienced at this point. She just did really well, wanted to share with others in her excitement to be making that much per hour doing this job, and almost everyone was saying that it was a fake post, she was shilling for Streamate, etc etc.

I did not read that AT ALL in her post, just saw someone who wanted to be celebrated and was happy with her earnings. Even her friend chimed in to share that she was the one who suggested streaming initially, and also about posting the win in the subreddit, expressing disappointment in the awful response her friend received.

No wonder so many models prefer it here, and we've had to ban those who have joined and ended up being incredibly rude to other models and mods. What a mean girls club!

Please do post your wins here, we will celebrate you. It's often obvious when people are just advertising too (we've had people tweak their earnings and can tell re: the edits made, had someone do that semi-recently who was trying to sell a course or something). Do follow rule #7 and share what happened to lead to that success, but we won't automatically assume you are lying to us. There are camgirls and non-binary models doing extremely well in this industry! Don't get mad at them for it, including if they're new - instead look at how you may improve further, or exit if the industry is just not working for you.

Is cam coaching/mentor a thing?

just wanted to know if these things existed since I’m thinking about being one. I’ve been thinking about helping newer creators with strategy, safety, and financial structure.

*I’m in the industry too, so I understand the burnout, privacy concerns, and financial instability that can come with it.

My win, New on SM

I have cammed on cb and other sites for years and never considered using steam mate but I decided to take the plunge adding it to my multi streaming choices, these are my earnings since Sunday last week I am amazed how well this website is going. Converting this to Australian dollars is massive income for me, I know it’s from the new tag but I hope I can keep this up

Another win 💛

I put some music in the background before I start. Not too loud but just right. I cater to a lot of fetishes but I am mostly dominant.

How I run my room is kind of like a Kanye vibe mixed with some doja cat. It’s never really boring cause I ask a lot of out of pocket questions or ask them about their lives but I still remain sensual, it also helps that I’m witty.

If a guy isn’t speaking or tipping within 2 mins I kick him out.

I only do nude in exl not in private. Makes them feel more special since it’s a one on one. Inside the show we first discuss how the person is feeling and what they are in the mood for, I ask if they would like to c2c and then we get into it.

I do not do gold shows cause I know there are some people who love to record and I am very past doing those shows.

My gold menu ranges from 15-100g. I tell the guys 5g is low vibe 15 is mid vibe and 25 is high vibe.

My rates are really high exl is 19.99, priv is 15.99-16.99.

I’ve been camming for 7 years.

SC and OBS not seeming compatible? Or perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

Does anyone else have trouble with getting SC and lovesense OBS connected? I always get an error and one time when it seemed connected I was told that they can't see me. For CB, I start the stream on CB then on the lovesense page or OBS. CB literally never gives me trouble. I've tried this on SC and it does not work. I've tried it in reverse too with no luck. I'm wondering if this is a common issue or am I missing something?
