Rest in peace, sweet Gary. 🐾

We only rescued Gary on August 15, but in just five short days, he completely stole our hearts. He came to us severely abused, emaciated, and fighting so many silent battles—including severe infections, anemia, and Coronavirus.

Every single day, Gary fought so hard through painful vet visits and endless fluid therapies. But amidst the struggle, we saw his beautiful spirit. We think Gary was just waiting for someone to rescue him. Once he found us, he finally decided he could lower his guard. He enjoyed every single meal, slept nice and cozy, and rested because he knew he was finally safe.

Today, August 20, Gary ended his fight. His body was tired, and he is now resting peacefully, free from any pain.

Our hearts are heavy, but we take comfort in knowing that his last days on earth were filled with full bellies, warmth, safety, and deep love. You held on for us, Gary, and you mattered. Run free, sweet boy. 🕊️💛
