Hello! I'm studying for the CCNA right now, and it's definitely an uphill battle. I got curious one night about how evil the other certs could be, and I saw the horror that was the CCNP. I thought "no way could it get any worse" and then I learned about the CCIE and lost my mind!!!

This leads me to my question, which is: Where were you at in your career that you were able to achieve the CCIE? What roles were you in, what experiences had you worked through, projects you built out?

I had the most awful exam experience last Friday.

Firstly I couldn’t log into the exam at my at the time give because the OnVue platform couldn’t connect. This was after passing all the pre exam tests.

So luckily I was able to reschedule my exam for later that day at night.
During that time I connected fine to the exam but 20 mins in my proctor connected dropped and my exam disappeared. I had to then be have the exam relaunched by another proctor. This happened 7 times in total and I was missing my exam time to get it fixed.

Somehow I was able to get to the end of the exam and was about to review my questions and finish the PBQs but the proctor suddenly disconnects my exam permanently. I still had 40 minutes of exam time left! I couldn’t believe after all that happened I managed to pass with 85%. This was no thanks to Peason onVue and I will never use them again! They almost cost me my exam.

Has anyone had any luck purchasing the CCIE Practice Lab sessions with CLCs lately? After you enter the CLC it states you must purchase a voucher first and then redirects you to a site which longer works for voucher purchase and states to you must purchase through Cisco U. Well Cisco U doesn't appear to have anything practice lab voucher related for the practice labs.

Did anyone in their production environment get hit by the above bug?

As per the above bug id, if you have a source interface as Lo0 instead of mgmt-interface under tacacs and you upgraded the device to v10.4.6 who so ever login to the device will be assigned network-operator role instead of network admin and your ISE server is authenticating the role as network admin but nexus 9k will show your account as network-operator.

Can some share what could be the possible ways to get a higher role assigned to the user?

Note: Device also not taking local admin password.

Password recovery seems the only option but in production it will cause traffic disruption which we want to avoid.

Has anyone had any success in booting up their ios-xrd control-plane image that came with cml 2.10 ref-plat?

I've been troubleshooting for 2 days and I keep getting this error
"xrd-0: Failed to validate and define (Unexpected response from post/http://[::1]:8090/api/v0/containers: {"code":10,"message":"exit status 1"})" when I run it in cml.
