Cheesesteaks at home, don’t @ me

One with onions for me, one with mushrooms for the ladies. I know, mushrooms aren’t authentic, nobody cares.

Cheesesteak w/Leftover Prime Rib

We went out to an area supper club for some prime rib last night and my wife ordered a bigger cut so I would have leftovers. This was amazing...Vidalia onions, provolone cheese and a roll grilled in the pan to give it that perfect crispy, crusty bite. I have a little more left for a cold sandwich.

Genova Pizza, Audubon NJ

I prefer a little more cheese and a little less chop

Angelo’s Pizzeria, south Philly

A bit of an upgrade from last time I was in the city. The feels like temperature outside was about 110 so only had to wait about ten minutes from ordering to eating. First time with Cooper Sharp. I get the hype now.

Love From Abroad

Just got back from Seoul, South Korea and was happy to see Philly culture being shared on the other side of the world!

Didn’t get the cheesesteak but my son got the fries. Not bad but definitely not like what we get at home.

Gazzo’s Pottstown, PA

It’s not hype, Gazzo’s is the real deal, 100%! Perfectly cooked chipped rib eye, flavorful cheese, caramelized onion, fresh roll. Boom! solid, top tier cheesesteak! Highly recommended!

Where do the cheesesteaks stop?

I am a lowly Michigander craving a real cheesesteak and reminiscing on my last trip to Philly, therefore I must consult the cheesesteak hive mind.

Where do the cheesesteaks stop being good in Pennsylvania?

On here it seems the most western cheesesteak I’ve seen that’s seems legit with a real Amaroso/seeded roll and cooper sharp was West Reading.

Do they go farther; Harrisburg? State College? Pittsburgh? Ohio? Or is that the line. Please help

Finally a Backyard Cravings storefront

Whoever says Philly is dead in the summer is taking a fat L.

Granted they are right, but major openings are on the way from some of the best pastries to life changing cheesesteaks you need to save and keep on your radar

Philly’s Famous Cheesesteaks Largo, FL

Tried a new cheesesteak shop today. Cheese steak with onions and mushrooms on an amoroso roll with provolone and onion rings. Roll tasted day old and I should have ordered extra cheese but the meat was not skimpy. 7/10. My roommate had his with onions and provolone.

Johnny's in Bryn Mawr, PA

Sauce on half. Got there when it opened and had the 2nd steak off the grill. Not pictured was the slice I grabbed on the way out to eat while I walked 3 minutes back to my car lol.
