I'm reaching out for a few helping suggestions about my Malibu. I've been getting the MAP sensor codes for 4-5 months now and can't seem to get rid of them.. it's extremely irritating. I'm currently on medical leave, so therefore, I don't have the funds to just take it somewhere to have it diagnosed and fixed. I've tried pretty much everything that I can think of. I've changed the MAF, MAP, camshaft intake/exaust sensors. Replaced the throttle body, VVT solenoids - intake and exaust, replaced the intake manifold gasket and the vacuum pump. Couple years ago, I replaced the battery and alternator. Replaced both the under hood air filter and the cabin filter. I've checked ALL the fuses, wires, and hoses and all seems to be fine. Also replaced all 4 spark plugs and coils. Needless to say, the P codes still remain. Read somewhere to change the crankshaft position sensor, so that's next on the list, I reckon. The third code it's throwing is P26C8 for Engine Control Module, caused by my active grill shutter not working. Don't know if that played a part or not. Anyways - If anyone could give me some feedback in regards to the punk ass P codes, I'd be greatly appreciative. 🤙💯🫡💪
P.S. - engine size is 2.5L Ecotech
I’m fixing the fuel injectors on a 2016 Chevy Malibu, and because of my own stupidity, I leaned on this plastic tube and snapped it. What is this tube called, and where can I buy one so I can get it quickly? This is a DIY project.
The video is NOT my vehicle however is this is the exact sound it’s making, it continues while accelerating thru first and second gear and mellows out as I drive, no check engine light, newer turbo, it is not the air intake , verified by mechanic. They think it’s the turbo (possibly) , 2 other mechanics say it is not the turbo. Any ideas?
My 2010 chevy Malibu lt has these 2 codes. The rpm would be high and not go into 2nd or 3rd gears. One day, I stopped at a red light and it wouldn’t move. The car would rev up but not move forward nor reverse. I had to call a tow truck and just left it sitting on my driveway untouched. Fast forward a year later, I decided to change the transmission fluid and it drove for a couple feet then stopped.
I’m not sure if its worth fixing it or just sell it as is. I called multiple mechanics and majority are just trying to sell me a new transmission. One mechanic said it could be the TCM. Any advice? Could it actually be a shift solenoid or new transmission?
