The Ozeri kitchen scale is quite accurate down to a tenth of a gram, I have calibrated it with a scientific 50 gram weight. The scale fluctuates a little bit as the birds maneuver around the feeding bowl. Today I got Charlie 41.7 grams, Bessie 49.7 - 51.5

First time birding at North Pond in LP this weekend and saw three lifers: Solitary Sandpiper, Green Heron (Juvenile), Great Blue Heron (Immature). I also recently went to River Park, where others have pointed out is a great spot for herons, and saw 10+ BCNHs (would highly recommend)

Urban Birding Fest

Shame I didn’t catch em when they were on the water and honking. I could hear it from probably a quarter mile away. They sounded like dogs barking!
