Seriously. At every single website I have visited the half shaft seal for this car does not officially exist. Can anyone confirm what part number is correct for the driver side half shaft seal? I would be forever grateful.
Have had several near-accidents because we don’t see parts of left side. Large window supports block a lot of view (isn’t about left mirror)
How do folks address this?

The vent tube is fine. From what I've researched its being overcharged. But is this the result of a bad 12v battery or something else?

I’m looking to buy this. But I wanted to first ask near the gear shifter is a poor man’s button cover. To the right of the gear shifter next to the powered liftgate button. I wanted to know what that cover was intended to be.
Next, the infotainment section is kinda blah. Was curious if Ford offers an upgrade for that. Or is relative function and how you guys like it.
Lastly, this one doesn’t have fog lights. I wanted to know if that is a feature I can ask Ford to put on for me.
I guess lastly, lastly. The dealer offered me an interior protection “Simeniz”. Have any of you had that done what do you think?

Hi all
I recently picked up a 2017 Energi Titanium on the cheap because it had high mileage due to it likely being some dude’s Uber rig. I noticed it has a faint grinding noise in motion at certain speeds and am wondering if this is the start of the output shaft or diff bearing failure as outlined in TSB 19-2391. The noise is coming from the passenger side, and I have replaced the axle and carrier bearing as well as brake pads and rotors as those were a little noisy too. It improved slightly but the noise is still faintly there.
For anyone who suffered transmission failure as a result of this TSB issue, what were your initial symptoms? This is my second Energi. Thanks in advance.

I recently purchased a 2013 energi and it’s been great, cosmetically meh, ended up purchasing a parts hybrid car for really cheap that’s actually in great shape and a higher trim level than I expected.
Was wondering if anyone has/has attempted to swap the energi battery and bits etc over to a hybrid to convert it into an energi. Is it even worth the effort?
I should say I’m pretty mechanically inclined, I do a lot of my own mechanic work and have all the tools, including an extended FORSCAN licenese. Looking over an under things *seem* to be very similar. (Big leap of faith I know lol)
2017 Cmax Energj
I have a new dashcam that included a USB C power kit so it's always on, even when parked / car turned off.
I'm curious as to how I should wire this to ensure I don't drain the (small) starter battery.. Does this battery get topped up from the larger battery bank? Is it viable to connect the USB c directly to the cells in the trunk vs the traditional methods?
My son occasionally borrows my car- 2013 C-Max, large screen Sync 2- and hooks his phone up to it.
When he does, and I get my car back, I have to go in and uninstall both phones and reinstall them to get my music to play.
Any ideas why? Any solutions to fix? Besides moving to a Sync 3, which I would love to do, but can't afford right now.
2015 Ford C-MAX Energi SEL Hybrid
Today, my drivers side door window won't close all the way, only goes up about half way. I tried pulling up on the control while pulling up on the window grabbing it with my hand but it won't budge. So, then I had my Dad sit in the drivers seat and operate the control while I pulled up on the window from the outside with both hands and it still won't budge. I have no idea what happened. All windows were working fine yesterday. This car has just shy of 50K miles. This should not have happened. I have to fix this myself because I have no money to take it to a shop.
Any ideas?

I’m at about 155k miles. Had the transmission fluid changed about 3k miles ago. Now a wrench light is coming on. No other problems with the car that I’ve noticed. Shifts smooth. Plenty of engine power. Battery holds charge. The service guys at Ford said they couldn’t read the code with the mobile computer. I asked to see it and was told it was just alphanumeric. They want to charge at least $230 to read it on some other terminal system. Why do I smell bullshit? No other information in the owners manual. Anyone have any other suggestions? Definitely going to try and get a second opinion at another shop.
I tried replacing the fuse with another 25 fuse, can’t tell if it’s a 25A or 25S fuse, does that make a difference? It blew right away. Any suggestions on how to fix/troubleshoot before I give up and take it to a mechanic?
