Getting a Cockapoo Puppy

Hello,

My family and I are getting a female Cockapoo puppy at the end of July. It’s our first puppy as a family. My wife and I have had puppies and dogs as we were kids.

Any advice, tips or things you wish you would have done differently when raising your Cockapoo puppy?

Thanks in advance.

My son looks different

Hey everyone, our boy is 5 months old. He’s perfect, just looks a little different. Should I be worried about being scammed?

Any tips for very matted ears?

We just came back from holiday and picked up our cockapoo from his sitter. He had a great time with many walks and playtime in the garden and I really have no complaints. However, I told the sitter that it was not really necessary to brush his fur because he doesn't really like it and for some reason doesn't really mat that easily (I usually brush him every few days). I only asked to check for ticks after walks of course.

Only now, his ears are very matted, as in huge tangles everywhere, doubling the width of his ears, and I already removed two ticks from them. I gave him a thorough wash and brush to be able to check his skin more easily and the rest of his fur is fine, no more ticks or tangles now.

We are trying to reschedule his grooming appointment so he can go sooner, but are there any tips of how to handle this? We tried cutting some out, but they are so dense, that we hit a blood vessel at some point and had to stop. They are also beyond brushing I think unless someone can recommend a miracle detangling spray? And how can we prevent this in the future if he has to go the sitter again? Maybe preventive conditioning sprays? We'll probably ask to maybe (try to) brush ears next time.

Wren is home and it’s like she’s always been here!

What a joyous little girl! She sleeps through the night, learned our house layout and how to do the stairs (4-level split, so there’s a lot) by day 2 and she loves everyone!

Our 2 Cockapoo Boys

We have had Frank for almost 2 years and we just adopted Jeff 3 weeks ago. Jeff is smaller, but he’s 10 months older than Frank. They get along beautifully and you’d think they’ve been raised together since day 1!!
