Help! Half finished project but lost pattern

Help! Half finished project but lost pattern

I began this bookmark years ago and want to finish it but cannot find the pattern. I’ve done a reverse image search and no luck. Any ideas how to go about tracking this down?

$5 Ukrainian cross stitch folk art

Picked up this ~18” framed vintage needlepoint and did some digging. It appears to depict the Ukrainian folk-art subject “Cossack and Girl at the Well”, also associated with the traditional song “My Girl, Water My Horse.” Similar versions date back to the early/mid-20th century, but I love how unusually whimsical this one is with the prancing horse, waving Cossack, birds, and butterfly.

First Completed Cross Stitch!

I need honest opinions. This is my first project and I just finished it and I’m really proud of it. How does it look for a first timer? Any suggestions of how to improve my technique? Thank you!

[FO] My largest full coverage yet

I chose this pattern because it reminded me of northern lights that I’ve seen from my home 🇨🇦. 80 colours and 70,800 stitches.

Pattern from MyArtfullCreations on Etsy.

Blocking finished pieces

I don’t use a loop or frame when I cross stitch. Does anyone else block their pieces after completion?

Does outlining in a color ruin your project?

Im nearer to cross stitch & I’m starting this pattern and instead of working one 5x5 box I’d like to do the lighter outline then work the other colors inside the same way, would that mess up my project?

Phone case crafts!

Saw someone do something similar to this on Instagram (I can’t seem to find their name now!) and wanted to replicate the concept with my own design. Scavenged online to find a case that would let me stitch something and pinterest for some simple small cross stitch patterns for the little ducky. So happy with how it turned out and contemplating buying more cases and making them as gifts for friends 😅

What can I do to make this more interesting? Or is it good as is,

I’m making this cross stitch as a birthday gift, but it feels like it is lacking something.
Is it good as is? Or do you have any suggestions as to what I can add?

(Yes I know the pattern is slightly off centre, but that’s what I get from making something up on the spot. No references used, just pure imagination).

I cross-stitched The Luggage!

I'm just getting into Discworld and started with the first two Wizards books. I immediately was taken by The Luggage so I made a little cross stitch design of how I pictured it!

(Yes I later discovered that the feet are supposed to be tiny human feet, whoops! But this was how I was imagining it 😆)
