Death trap

Have seen some info about people experiencing issues with front assist etc. Literally just happened yesterday and I completely lost all confidence in our car.

Travelling around 70 mph on the motorway in the third lane before the car decided it wanted to come to a complete stop. Lane assist would not allow driver to change lane and was jerking the seatbelt. Car was stationary for about 1 minute whilst it was deciding what it wanted to do. Managed to get it started again but overall such a scary experience. Could've easily resulted in a major accident. Car had a complete mind of it's ownm..Lost faith in our car.

Has anyone experienced repeated 12V battery drain on a CUPRA Terramar (2.0 TSI)?

I’m trying to find out whether anyone else has experienced something similar.

I have a 2025 CUPRA Terramar 2.0 TSI (195 kW) with only ~4,400 km. The car has now completely discharged its 12V battery multiple times. When it happens, the car won’t even unlock with the key fob and needs a jump start.

It’s already been back to the dealer several times. They’ve:
- checked the battery,
- updated/re-coded software,
- sent logs to the factory,
- and even replaced the infotainment unit.

Unfortunately, the problem came back again, including during a family trip to Poland after the latest repair.
Has anyone had similar issues with the Terramar (especially the 2.0 petrol), or perhaps another recent VW Group vehicle with the same symptoms? If so, did you ever find the root cause?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

What paddle shifter extension for Terramar?

I got a set of this paddle shifter extension for Terramar, but the ones I got don't fit; I can't make them fit on Terramar.

Can you recommend a set that fits on Terramar?

Strange electronic issues on my 2024 Cupra Formentor (won’t start, parking brake activates)

Hi everyone,
I have a 2024 Cupra Formentor 1.5 eTSI Mild Hybrid, and I’m experiencing some very strange issues.
A while ago, the car would occasionally engage the electronic parking brake and shift into Park during light braking. This problem hasn’t happened for some time, but now I’m facing something even stranger.
Sometimes the car simply won’t start. The dashboard turns on, all the lights and displays seem normal, but when I press the Start/Stop button, absolutely nothing happens. The only way I can eventually start it is by locking and unlocking the car multiple times. After about 10 minutes of trying, it finally starts.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
The dealership/service center told me it’s a software issue, but they haven’t provided a clear solution yet.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Android Auto wireless not connecting

Anyone else having issues?

Both me and the wife's phones (S26 ultra) having nightmare connection issues. They sometimes work perfectly then get out the car and go shopping and get back in and they won't connect. Tried switching off Bluetooth on one phone so they aren't competing for connection.

Tried deleting everything etc. etc.

Anyone have had issues and found a workround.

Our dealer is miles away and frankly not great anyway.

Model is 25 plate 2.0 tsi America's Cup.

Cupra Terramar – Wireless Apple CarPlay makes iPhone 14 Pro overheat. Charger cooling not working?

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Cupra Terramar when using wireless Apple CarPlay.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro, and whenever it’s connected wirelessly and placed on the built-in wireless charging pad, it gets extremely hot. Sometimes it even becomes so hot that charging slows down or stops because of the temperature.

As far as I know, the Terramar is supposed to have a cooled wireless charger, but it doesn’t seem to cool the phone sufficiently—or maybe the cooling system isn’t working at all.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Are you using an iPhone or Android?
Does your phone also get very hot with wireless CarPlay?
Has your dealer been able to fix it (software update, hardware replacement, cooling fan issue, etc.)?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences before I book an appointment with my dealer.

Thanks!

1.5 eTSI vs 2.0 TSI

Hi everyone,

I went to check out the ’26 Terramar, and I was fascinated by everything.

The dealer offered me a great deal on the 2.0 TSI 204ps, which they have in stock and need to move.

For the same price, the 1.5 eTSI 150ps DSG is available for order. Specced with a few more extras (360 cameras, HUD, 19” Cosmic wheels, and a couple more driving assists than the 2.0TSI stock model).

As a heavy city daily driver, I am thinking about fuel efficiency, but I also want that extra power when overtaking on the highway once in a while.
Unfortunately, they do not have a 1.5 eTSI available for a test drive.

Based on your experiences, which engine should I go for: the 2.0 TSI that's ready to collect, or order the 1.5 eTSI?

***Or, should I go with the 2.0 TDI Formentor (smaller car, so maybe better for the city, but with less comfortable bucket seats)? It's also in stock, fully loaded, and at a similar price.

Thank you! 😄

Why is there such a price difference?

(the first one costs around 56k euro while the 2nd one costs around 44k)both are practically new cars with same model year on (at least I think) legitimate website is the first one too overpriced or the other too cheap that is fishy? Is this price difference normal?Any experience with Carvago?

Cupra terramar 1.5 150hp e-tsi 20” alloys

Hey all,

I am seriously thinking of buying a Cupra terramar mild hybrid version (PHEV is not an option because I live in an apartment with no socket access).

Does anyone have the 20inch alloys but with NO DCC?

I’d like to hear from owners of no DCC if the ride is too harsh and also how it is after some months.

I’ve driven the car with 20 inches on a test drive and I noticed that on potholes it was quite firm, kinda defeating the purpose of an SUV factor. however the test drive was quite short so thats why I left with questions in my mind.

Anyone know what this is and where it belongs?

Good morning all,

Found this in the car today. Obviously came loose and can’t figure out where it belongs. Any ideas?
