Anyone else want to see a Daggerfall multiplayer RP server?
Recently I've been fascinated by online RP servers like Skyrim's Keizaal or GTA V's Fivem. Daggerfall has such a massive, rich world - seems like the perfect sandbox to host this type of thing. I think it should be technically possible considering we have an abandoned multiplayer mod from a few years ago. What do yall think?
Do you need to activate Warm Ashes in-game after install?
Trying to see how many questions I can ask in this sub, apparently!
I've got SIGIL and Warm Ashes encounters in my modlist. I don't recall being asked if I wanted to activate either one in-game. If I missed this, how can I double-check?
Is there a way to turn off Real Grass waving so its static and better for performance?
reddit.comAny clue why the horse is taking up 80% of my screen?
I am running DREAM with most (certainly not all though) of the load order list. Just trying to see if anyone might know of a mod that does this or could counteract this.
EDIT: So far, the FOV does not appear to be the case
I'm generally a dev- and lore-purist aside from minimal mods like roads, lighting, or small conveniences. Pitch me the case for big changes like city overhauls or World of Daggerfall?
My biggest apprehensions for these big changes are 1) will this majorly alter the dev vision for the game, 2) does this fit the lore or is there lore evidence the change was produced from, 3) will these player-made custom spaces get overrepetetive, because having less diversity in vanilla allows for imaginative fill-in but lots of custom stuff may ironically feel more repetitive and 4) how will this break my playthrough continuity from DF players before me?
I'm interested in Fixed Desert Arch, World of Daggerfall, Lively Cities, Beautiful Cities/Towns, Restore Betony, Famous Faces of Iliac, DETs and more but I just worry they go too far and get too liberal with their changes.
Should I maybe do a long playthrough mostly vanilla and then go back one day for all the big changes?
Is this dungeon bugged?
So I am in a dungeon where there are multiple portals inside it, and most of the rooms/areas are only reachable through these portals, as there is no physical connection like corridors between them. I ended up in an area that's completely cut of from the rest of the dungeon, and there is one portal door that I assume should take me to an other area. But it doesn't work, I simply can't enter it. I tried it from both sides, jumping into it, squatting down, running, everything. There is simply no way to enter it. So I am completely stuck in this area (basically it's three rooms connected to each other), can't leave or do anything else. Funny thing is I have been to this dungeon before, and I am quite sure I managed to go through this exact portal with no issues. So I don't know what the problem is now. Has anyone ever encountered such a game breaking bug?
Daggerfall Unity on the Thor
Hello everyone!
I just had a question for anyone on the Thor (or honestly anyone with a capable retro handheld)
Since Daggerfall Unity has, for a while, been properly ported to Android, I was wondering if anyone has tried playing it on their Thor?
I've been playing it on my Steam Deck, and naturally it pains me to try and set up all my mods and... Texture replacements... Again. I was wondering if anyone had any luck running a PC installation of DFU through GameNative or similar apps, or tried the Android version instead.
Feel free to share any tips or tricks on playing the game on Android. Either getting the game working, or playing it. I also feel it'll be 30x more difficult without my precious trackpads mapped as radial menus
Just experienced Thalassophobia in Daggerfall for the first time (listen for the roar)
The video does not begin to capture how creepy it can be down there if you turn the fog view distance down and the fog strength up in the mod settings. Reminder that this mod is in open beta right now on the DFU discord as I work out the final issues before release.
The Agent knows where it is at all times...
More work-in-progress stuff for Come Sail Away. Credit to SamTheSalmon for the paper map texture!
Best mods for first play through?
I’m going to start a first play through on my steam deck soon and I’m wondering what essential polished mods I should use. I know that many people are probably in the mindset of no mods for the first play through but I would like to use some. Open to any suggestions!
How do i cure Poison? ;-;
I can't find any potion on the shops ,_,
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall Unity on MagicX Mini Zero 28 - incl. DawnOS & GammaOS FPS comparison
I tested Daggerfall Unity on GammaOS and the stock DawnOS on my Mini Zero 28. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions for improvements!
Distant Terrain-Updated for WOD
Hello everybody, I am currently modifying the distant terrain mod by Nystul to render mountains from world of daggerfall and overall be more stable. Does anybody have any requests or issues with the original mod that you would like to see fixed?
