As the title says finally got 11 gems 15 rune run with minotaur just tabbing and auto exploring. Minotaur Gozag definetly is really good for extended.

All melee weapon skills cross-train with at least one other weapon skill. When investing XP into the main skill, any cross-trained skills get a direct bonus equal to 40% of that XP. For example, if you put 10 skill points into Polearms, both Axes and Staves will get 4 skill points each for free.

First of all. What determines how effective I am with a particular weapon is the corresponding skill level? Plus str/dex, slay, but let's ignore these. So if next to Long Blades skill I have zero, it means I'm just as inefficient with them as when I was when I started the game. I just hope its this transparent.
What if I have 15 in my Short Blades. Well obv I'm much more fast and damaging with short blades compared to when I had zero in SB. But what about Long Blades? Am I actually better at long blades too? Even if LB has 0 in it? This would be much easier to comprehend if as I train and level up SB, LB also ticked up, just more slowly. But it doesn't!
So if my observations are correct, the only effect cross-training might have is that, IF I switch to LB, it will train much faster? But I don't understand the mechanism. How could LB have received 40% of SB skill points, that I trained to L15, and not have ticked up even by 1 level? And how does this boost work as I switched to training LB instead of SB and my LB level gradually catches up and maybe overtakes SB?
I think if I better understood this, I'd be able to more easily rationalize when its worth to switch and what to train when. I only used SB and LB as example, its more likely I switch from Axe to Mace for example.
I have both a quickblade+9 of freezing and a quickblade +9 of electrocution. They both have a damage rating of 28 after slay+6. Which one does more damage? Supposedly, electrocution adds, on average, 2-5 damage per hit, while freezing adds +7 damage per hit whenever it "pierces defenders armour", whatever that means. Which one one should I use?
Playing as Minotaur fighter, start with war axe. The guide I’m following recommends only 1H axes and always running a shield…. But the damage on those 2H axes is nuts….. thoughts?
I really hate this since it goes so against intuition. Uskayaw should be the god that caters to brawlers that enjoy fighing large crowds, but it just so happens to be the best stabber god since once you proc your paralysis + pain bond its gg regardless of how many mobs there are. On the other hand, dithmenos shadow slip gives like an extra 4 WEAK stabs not STRONG stabs, and then you have to run away or brawl which stabbers arent good at. Maybe I just havent played with dithmenos enough to hit 27 invocations for max shadow hp but at this point there's no reason to play dithmenos over uskayaw when I'm stabbing. They should really reduce the piety cost of shadowslip to 1%. I'm playing demonspawn with the foul shadow mutation by the way, and there's really no point stabbing in large crowds since once I stab one, they all wake up. Does it get better at higher stealth or will I have to switch to uskayaw at some point or invest in dazzling flash/enfeeble?

I was playing The Ten Rune Challenge, and one of the Swamp shops took me quite by surprise. Given how this was a Sprint run, I have to imagine the robes and leather attire are quite racy. It doesn't help things given the next door shop, Ypliagao, has -gao at the end. A search engine suggests as a closest IRL match the Portuguese word "aplicação," and this being "application" bookshop is quite funny.
Anyway, Bloatcrawl could use the main fork's profanity filter (I think that's a thing, tell me if not) and the main fork could really use Bloatcrawl's delightful QOL feature where if there's only one thing on the floor in the (W)ear or (w)ield (or etc) category, when you press , it saves you from pressing a to select and use it cuz what else is it gonna be?
This looks pretty good, but I'm a little confused by the description.
I'm guessing "non-attack sources" and "non-attack projectiles" means conventional weapons and projectiles vs magic attacks?

IMO, if the copyright is left there, a mention of GPL should also be made or a new menu item for "Credits & Licensing" could be added.

A bit fuzzy on this and the wiki article seems to say that you need a shield for the SH stat to matter. This applies to SH gained from non shield sources, obviously.
I tried to silence in order to avoid getting conf or hexed by the enchantress but that backfired, as now I can't blink or tp away. I tried taking a few steps into the corridor once I got surrounded but they instantly erased by health, what should I do now?
I intially thought of running to the hallway, spamming heal, then cancel so I can blink away, but that seems like It'll get me killed in a turn, what other solutions do yall suggest.

PS: Also, the reason I havent taken my Gizmo yet is because my choices are genuinely horrendous for a coglin, and I was weighing between needing rC or rF depending on what randart armours I'll pull.
There's no information about this mutation on wiki since its only updated for up to 0.30. Can anyone tell me how much stealth it adds at max rank, what the percent to proc the foul flame it allude to and also what "'monsters will rarely attack you" mean? Also, I want to try a stabber with this build so what God should I go for? I'm deciding between Dithmenos, Gozag, and the god that gives you a tank guardian, but not sure what's best. Lastly, what spells, if any, should I look to get that will still be effective in extended? Thanks!
Encountering this strange problem while playing a Fire Elementalist. Every time I click this button, all the enemies on screen just despawn. Vaults 5 was completely empty, and even the stuff in the Zot lungs was just disappearing when I clicked it. Is this a known bug? Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
