Need help. new to the game

Hello I would like to start by saying that this game is totally awesome I have enjoyed thoroughly for the few hours I’ve played but I need help weather that be another player or some tips because I can’t seem to get stuff without dying like I’ve had a few successful runs with a freindly guy I found (I play on PvE bc I’m new) but other than that I’ve been dying trying to complete missions and loosing my stuff I have a 2x2 base with a good amount of gear but it’s diminishing I can barely beat easy missions and very rarely beat a medium but mostly I end up dying witch sucks because I want to progress please is there any better way to get lots of gear and bear mission solo

Who is the Demographic for this game? Console PVE gamers only?

This game was always pretty bare bones (and honestly still is), but it had its own charm. It felt like a lighter version of DayZ or Miscreated with easy-to-jump-into PvP and that classic Unreal Engine 4 jank.

With the recent patches though, the developers seem determined to push the game toward a much heavier PvE experience. I don’t think the game’s foundation is immersive or intricate enough to support that direction.

Instead of adding meaningful depth, a lot of the newer systems just feel like inflated PvE tedium layered on top of a game that originally worked because of its simplicity and fast player interaction.

So I'm confused who the game is for if they are trying to lean into that? Because even on the steam store it is advertised as "hardcore PvP". But with the server counts being so low and the increase in difficulty getting higher end stuff, the PvP is barely existent and pretty much comes down to who has a good scope or not and third parties.

I appreciate the "build-up" phase, but them getting disappointed that people were "too efficient" at getting high end stuff is a little ridiculous. Games like Rust is a squatter bloodbath game in terms of speed compared to this game, but they don't seem to actually want plenty of PvP.

HOW TO GET MORE PVP PLAYERS IMO AS A LONG TIME SURVIVAL GAME PLAYER

hello ive played rust ark day z 7 days to die most survival games. and with deadside just being free to play on console recently i tried it. with the wooden bases being so easy to raid by advanced players.. even planks.. you really need the ability for begining players to be able to craft these items faster.. so i really think their should be a cloth bush that you can pick that would turn into rags at the craft bench, and also you should have the ability to craft nails from scrap metal at the work bench, maybe make it a bit expensive but i feel theres more looting of these items needed. otherwise your going to have players constantly looking for these materials for their bases instead of advancing weapons and armor..

My Review Thus Far

This is merely just my honest opinion but I'd recommend this game to people for sure.

It definitely is challenging at times like Dayz and can certainly get a bit boring at times like Dayz.

The devs definitely need to add a bit more to the game for sure like maybe boats just for fun and to fish off of more furniture and building pieces, maybe rework the gun system so half the guns don't become basically useless late game and still can be useful in some way. Could also definitely add a vest that provides a small amount of both slots/protection ie 4 slots 4 protection (i know that's low but it gives the illusion of variety without being strong and just an example) among other things just to add more variety to playstyles.

Anyways, I am loving the game, it's fun a mix of hardcore and casual not just straight up unforgiving like Dayz (that's still an alright game) essentially this is a less complexed version of Arma, (as im writing this I just thought about it being closer to Arma than Dayz lol) the map is definitely big enough tho more POIS would not hurt, love the calming music, could also use more drip skins but what they got so far is pretty cool&unique in terms of that. The AI is....interesting in terms of detecting someone crouched and prone needs to be tweaked a bit especially in grass or night time.

Quick summary: Could use more content, weapon rework but is super fun and a balanced challenge that doesnt require hours and hours of grinding! I give the game a 7.73/10

Raids

Hi I’m new to dead side but I was reading that people need a token to raid your base not sure if that is still true. I haven’t died yet built my base but today I saw someone broke in put triangles pieces to climb to roof went in there to a storage and took all the material from my storage. Is it possible in dead side to people build in your base even with a storage I’m playing PvP official
