How to take care of a deaf kitten?

Hello everyone! This morning I found a kitten outside after a huge storm we had last night. I honestly thought that she was dead. I was very sad but wanted to do the right thing and properly bury her, but when I went to carefully pick up the body, she started to meow. Immediately I brought her inside, got her dry, got her warm, and then once she was warm, moving around, and meowing again, I gave her some food and water. I was planning to nurse her back to health then try and reunite her with her mama who lives under the house. Well, while caring for her I noticed she was not responding to any sounds. My voice, whistling, clicking my tongue, foot steps, doors opening and closing, our dog barking. She didn’t react to any of it, not even an ear flick. After my boyfriend blew a whistle behind her just to see and she did not react in the slightest, I realized that she is completely deaf. Now I don’t plan on putting her back outside because she’s not able to hear vehicles, predators, or anything else and I don’t want her to get hurt because of this. I’m planning on making a vet appointment ASAP to get her evaluated, vaccinated, and get professional tips on care for her. But, in the meantime I wanted to see if anyone else with deaf kitties has any advice! I’ve had plenty of cats before but I’ve never had a deaf one. I would love any advice you could give me! Thank you so much!

Training a deaf cat

Hi,

I'm about to adopt a deaf cat (young adult)

I've already met him, he's super cute and absolutely adorable.

He's also super relaxed and even unexpected touches don't bother him.

My question is, how can I train him? Clicker training and verbal cues won't work, what are the alternatives?

My main goal is to take him out on a leash since he's quite confident and loves to sit at open (secured) windows.
