Social Democrats have no principles
Sometimes the Overton Window graaadually shifts to the Right, like a frog being boiled slowly...no one notices it happen. This is not one of those times lol. They're doing it openly and causing whiplash with their abrupt turn. "Having leftist principles was crazyyyy of us. We were such children back then. Oh but we've grown up now, we're more practical about these things now".
People who are dumb enough to watch this Overton shift happen with their eyes and still not realize that it is happening shouldn't be trusted to operate a toaster safely.
Ppl who disagree are gonna say the "Defund the Police had crazy bad messaging and negative PR due to poor phrasing" talking point. But that's not AOC's or Mamdani's reasoning behind calling it CRAZYYY, so don't put words in their mouths.
AOC literally said "Francesca has moved away from it".
AOC did not say,"Francesca understands now that the phrase Defund the Police was unpalatable, but she still supports all those same policies, she just calls it something else now."
And Mamdani's reasoning was "...over time what you believe in can change and it can grow". Nothing in there about "poor phrasing". These people are fucking sellouts.
The South Has No Chance Without the Rest of the Country
I've been working with FEMA for the last 6 months and the like the amount of poverty and destitution I see there. Is something, I have only seen in the poor countries I have traveled too.
Where do I even begin?
I watched the argument Phoebe and Paulsego got into, about how the South would implement tax policies to court wealthy corporations and use them to build a tax base, that they would then use to build up a massive army to invade the West and East Coast? Or something like that?
Phoebe my home girl, that is about as likely as pigs sprouting wings and flying. The South would be lucky to survive a year without the amount of funding it gets from the Federal Government. There are entire counties that are still recovering from the Winter Storm last December. People living in their cars, whole communities of people live in cars, because they have yet to receive any assistance from the State or Federal Government.
To Paul wondering where most of the Federal funding went? Brother you got me. I have seen people have their homes obliterated, their personal possessions gone and the most I've seen people get is like 6-8k. Barely enough to put the tin roof back over the house. But it's all the more insidious when you realize that the Federal Government handed the state of Mississippi 22 million big ones for disaster relief.
Never mind that we haven't talked about the military headache it would be to get a modernized army to the West Coast from the South without the U.S. Government.
Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Nevada; these places are not Belgium or the Netherlands. You could fit both of those countries in those 5 states like 20 times and still have land to spare. The Southwest is gigantic and the terrains vary from harsh deserts to high altitude mountains.
Factor in that farming has gotten way more difficult in the South due to climate change; good luck keeping those troops supplied with basic necessities as they try to make their way through those 5 states.
No, dude. The South has it bad; I actually think that states in the Midwest would fare better than the South as their own countries.
This came in today.
I honestly had forgotten what came with the package besides the Blu-ray, so it was a nice surprise.
Hot Take: Trump should enact a military draft NOW for his Iran war and for other upcoming invasions that he has doubtless planned for the near future...
I don't want a single drafted american to actually go to any war, i only want the draft itself to happen. So hear me out:
Historic Reference: The Vietnam War vs The Iraq War
The anti-war protests against the Vietnam War were led by American Vietnam-war vets in dirty bandanas burning their uniforms. This happened in far greater numbers for the Vietnam war than for any other america-instigated war. Sure, some iraq war veterans have also burned their uniforms, but not NEARLY as many as in the 1970s. I think this is because the Vietnam War Draft brought into the US army the types of men who would never choose to go to war on their own aka decent men. There was no Iraq war draft and so only dumb chuds aka the type of misguided moron who would volunteer for a war went to iraq. Too few of THEM grew disillusioned enough to burn their uniforms, because they were all the type of gullible person who would volunteer to join the army (and the US army of all armies).
Whereas because of the Vietnam Draft, a lot of normal relatively decent people ended up forcibly joining the US army and going off to vietnam. So their outcry was louder, swifter, and more urgent. Because they were less comfortable with being pawns (as compared to the willing pawns who joined the Irak war). These anti-war vets helped bring that war to an end by burning their uniforms.
And they felt like burning their uniforms because they weren't the type of desperate moron who joins armies on their own and is eager to go off on "an adventure". And they weren't the type of selfish poor person who joins the US army for the monetary benefits rather than becoming a waiter instead.
If you don't think this is the reason why the Vietnam war saw so many more uniform-burnings, then tell me what the reason is. I can't think of another one. I think the average citizen for all his flaws is at least smarter and more moral than the average army volunteer.
The Iran War
So we need people who are decent (aka NOT army volunteers) to be personally affected by a war in order to get them to join the anti-war protest. Trump could inadvertently do that by drafting their asses. Make it personal for them. Get them involved by ordering them to go to war.
There's a reason why the current US military members aren't protesting the Iran war in any major capacity at all: Because all current US military members are the type of chuds who join armies willingly. And after they make that totally Sheep-like life decision, they also get their remaining autonomy drilled out of them during military training drills. So the evil people who bombed those Iranian schools for trump -- they were all trained to be good soldiers. And a good soldier always follows orders, ergo a good soldier can never be a good human being.
Good people need to be able to think for themselves, and most of the US military currently is full of people who can't think for themselves. And full of people who volunteered to join the US military even though they lived through the Iraq war. They saw what the iraq war was and dumbly they said to themselves "I should join the org that enabled this mess". So they are dumbos at best, socio paths at worst. We do need better, smarter people in the US army, but the problem is: A decent person would never willingly join the US army lol. So i hope someone forces decent people to join the US army. And then i hope they all join the protest.
Some Caveats
Now ofc, the uniform-burners of the vietnam war SHOULDN'T have actually gone to vietnam in the first place. I do respect them for improving and changing and learning their lesson, but they should have protested the war draft and the govt that ordered it, BEFORE going off to war. They should have gone to jail like Muhammad Ali. They can't jail millions. So i hope they draft millions in 2026. And i hope those millions are decent enough to want to go to jail rather than go to iran. Muhammad Ali and those like him were bad soldiers aka decent people.
This is how the war effort can be crippled - by making the war an urgent and personal issue for sleeping complacent americans who are at least more decent than the average army volunteer socio path.
To repeat: I don't want a single drafted american to actually go to any war. But some of you might have to go to jail. That's the price of fighting fascism. Cheeky one-liner: I'm willing to see you guys pay that price heheh
No, but seriously: No one can fight the American empire as effectively as average americans can (they don't, but they CAN). I'm not an american, i can't do much here. If my govt was half as harmful to the globe as the american govt, i like to think i'd be prepared to go to jail, idk for sure though. Probably even i'd need to be drafted myself, to get me to care to that extent.

The interaction of Apple and pickles is truly divine. Had it with a 180g patty, cheddar, garlic butter toasted buns, crispy potatoe slices and chilli cheese sauce over the apple and a whiskey sour to go with it.
My favorite NEETmaxxers
In a society that is literally obsessed with productivity, money and looks, I feel that I have found refuge in the NEET subreddit. Honestly, so many people in here are an inspiration to me, and I realize how important it is for people to be intentional when it comes to choosing their role models. I also wanted to individually thank all my role models in here:
- Foreverlonely, for being perhaps the best NEETmaxxer of all. I won't forget her degenerate posts about personal desperation, her degenerate sloth, her hilarious invites for sex buddies, and for her post about trimming her mustache (which I think is the best thing I ever read on reddit).
- PileOfSkulls, for his unwavering commitment to his NEETdom and his quick rejection of any and all attempts to re-enter the world of wage-cuckery, whereas most other NEETs are, unfortunately, dejected normies, not real NEETs.
- MyHeadIsFullOfFuck, for literally perfecting the art of weedmaxxing which, in my opinion, is one of the three pillars of NEETdom (alongside goonmaxxing and bedrotmaxxing).
- DeadPirateJunkie, for his complete devotion to degeneracy, despair and doomerism. His posts express a genuine nihilistic doomerism which inspired my flair as a Doomer NEET, and really sets a standard that I try to meet through my nihilistic posts.
- Dickweed for the very insightful posts and his analysis which portrays the values of true, unadulterated NEETdom.
- ImmenselyFucked, for his homelessness experience, though he is no longer a role model to me as he unfortunately abandoned NEETdom recently.
So guys, thank you all for being role models to me, and may this small subreddit remain as is forever. I love you all.

The NEET Conversation
The Neet conversation is one of those topics that his highly contentious among people in this community. I think it's important to discuss it in a way that is not just people flinging the accusation at one another.
Now, I think the reason why it's often met with so much backlash is because it's very reminiscent of the way Conservatives talk about black and brown people. People on this community are reflexively hostile to an argument that even slightly sounds Conservative.
In some ways it does sound Conservative, because it lacks empathy and removes all of the nuance from the conversation to create a caricature that can very easily be attacked and picked apart.
Honestly having been working since, since college. I can completely empathize with anyone who doesn't want to do the 9-5 grind. People call that paradigm dehumanizing for a reason and it's been called that for a very long time.
Even the DFF guys have called it that, if you have Patreon watch their episode on Japan. A huge portion of the episode is spent talking about how shitty and oppressive Japan's work culture is. Then they adopt this 'get to work' mentality when it's some asshole sitting in his house playing Xbox all day or whatever?
The contradictions get weirder, when they talk about the economy. Because the economy will be terrible in one sentence. Then perfectly livable and manageable in the next when they talk about Neets.
Just because you can tough it out and live with roommates and have your own space away from your family does not mean that it is manageable or that it's a life other people want to have. This also fails to take into account that job security has completely eroded as a concept. The chances of being unemployed are way too high for a lot of people.
So, the thing that is being flimsily advocated here; is for people to get into the world that has no job security, virtually unattainable housing and a shitty work culture?
I wonder why the community is hostile towards the idea of shitting on people who don't want to do that.
This is the only reason to ever support the Democrats no matter what.
I've heard this rant 100 times. I won't get tired of hearing it 100 more.
Making Scotty laugh like that was nice
I admit I was sad when I got timed out for 24 hours for sparing with Scotty, but making him laugh with my dono afterwards made my day, best part of the show for me.
BTW if you read this Scotty I do apologize if I genuinely offended you, I was just taking the shit and I admit I went to far and it was uncalled for, and if you think I'm just saying that for the meetup I couldn't attend this one anyway, bitches be poor and I can't afford a plain ticket, but anyway my bad, I do apologize.
