Trombetta ousts Vitali

Trombetta ousts Vitali

Judy Trombetta earned a decisive victory against incumbent Greg Vitali who has held the PA House of Representatives District 166 seat since 1993 (!!!)

The election results were on a nearly 2:1 margin.

How are we feeling?

As the debate showed several weeks ago, this was a race between two candidates who showed more difference in work style than necessarily their positions on key interests. That said, Vitali’s single-issue focus on climate is something rare in modern politics.

Change can be good but I do thank Mr. Vitali for his service and commitment to progressive environmental policy all these years… nearly my entire life.

Marple Newtown Superintendent Pay

MN superintendent is now the 9th 8th highest paid in the state:

https://patch.com/pennsylvania/across-pa/superintendent-salaries-pa-how-much-school-leaders-are-paid

I’m wondering if anyone has any insight as to why they are paid so much. It seems she was at 195k in 2020.

Have they improved the district enough in 6 years to deserve a 103k pay raise?

Crumbling facilities (middle school was closed early on Monday due to no AC; on top of that building being a dump)

Failing state test scores.

233rd in the state for average teacher salary and 13/20 in Delco.

Make it make sense.

Edit: Asst Super - Curriculum - 198k
Asst Super - HR - 206k

Roads

I understand that Delaware County did not have a Department of Health until Covid struck. And it’s becoming painfully clear or apparent to me that maybe there’s no such thing as a highway department or a road department. Why does this county not even try to maintain its roads? Why does this county allowed companies like Miller Brothers construction to go out and destroy damn near every single stretch of roadway in the county and leave it like that for multiple years? Where is the fucking leadership?

Please sign this petition to save 118 North in Wayne

This petition supports keeping 118 North open and protecting the people and businesses that depend on it. The proposed renovation would close the venue for at least a year to add businesses and apartments above it, putting dozens of employees out of work and impacting nearby local businesses that benefit from the crowds and live music the venue brings to Wayne.

Please share!
