Looking for clean girl body mist or perfume between 1k and 2k since I suffer from migraines.
So I’m into something fresh,aquatic,soapy,powdery,shampooey,citrusy,fresh out of shower not inclining towards gourmands or very floral scents.
I think VS aqua kiss and the body shops white musk, Zara apple juice being my kind of perfumes but major downside is it’s not long lasting!😩😩😩
Guys any reccs or should I consider the above fragrances??
Should I look into middle eastern perfumes since they are long lasting?

Basically, I have been recently obsessed with the idea of finding a signature fragrance. I used to wear lots of vanilla and gourmand in my teenage years so I bought a lot of sweet smelling perfumes buy I just didn't click with any of them and they gave me a headache 2 hours later. I recently discovered that I like floral scents after I was gifted a small 10ml decant of Miss Dior EDP and it just felt right for me. Since I am a College Student, I cannot afford a full bottle of any designer perfume and I am strictly budgeting so I refuse to buy any more perfume. However, a couple days back, I was at a makeup store and I decided to smell through their different perfumes and I instantly fell in love with this perfume by Plum and instantly purchased it. On my skin, it lasts quite a decent amount, 5-6 hours from what I have tested of it so far. It smells beautiful on my skin, doesnt give me a headache and it just feels like it fits my personality so well! I then did my research and found mostly negative reviews on this brand and this fragrance in particular, which came to my shock. Anyways, I absolutely adore this new addition to my very small and modest College Girl perfume collection heh. Once it runs out, I will be repurchasing the full bottle.

As the year is officially coming to an end, I wanted to do a Project Pan! With the number of fragrances I’ve collected over the years, it would honestly be a shame not to do one 🤭 I’ve brought out all the fragrances where I only have around 20 -30 ml left.

This Project Pan is also for my own sanity because the way I’ve built my collection, at this point it’s all over the place 😭 I’m trying to streamline it as much as I can, so here’s the list:

- Lattafa Atheeri - Let me start by saying I already have a backup bottle of this because I genuinely can’t do without it. It’s such a beautiful fragrance. It smells like a dewy, sweet floral sitting out in the sun. This one never fails to get me compliments, in my experience. Somebody or the other always seems to like it and say something about it. I’ve already finished this bottle 🤭

- Fragrance World Elysia Pista Sundae - I really like this perfume! It smells like an airy pistachio ice cream. Sweet, but not heavy. Gourmand, but not overpowering. It’s such a cutesy perfume!

- Burberry Goddess - One of my favourites, and it has become so sweet and spicy with time! The ginger and lavender kick has become so much stronger. Love, love it. But I don’t think I would repurchase it because I actually find its dupe much better in comparison.

- Arabiyat Prestige Cranberry Musk - I’ll be so upset when this finishes! It’s fresh, musky and aquatic. It’s not overly sweet or loud, but it smells amazing. It honestly smells so expensive for its price tag. I love, love it. I may repurchase it, but probably not anytime soon.

- Dolce & Gabbana My Devotion Intense My absolute favourite one. I’ll genuinely be devastated when this finishes 😭 I don’t usually buy backup bottles of perfumes, but this one deserves one! To me, it’s a pear blossom fragrance through and through. As it settles, the peony starts to shine, the fruity aspect fades a little, and it turns into this gorgeous sweet floral. It’s so feminine and flirty! It’s so Elle Woods-coded. I can literally imagine her smelling like this 🤭

- Fragrance World Elysia Lychee Fizz - This is a dupe of Kayali Sparkling Lychee, and I would say it’s a pretty good one. It’s light and breezy, sweet but in an airy way, and quite fruity. It definitely has a very youthful feel to it. I usually don’t like describing fragrances as “young,” but that’s honestly the vibe I get from this one. I actually think it could have worked really well as a body mist too.

- JPG La Belle Paradise Garden- This is a very dewy, ozonic scent. But there’s this weird coconut-oil smell that I seem to get from almost the entire La Belle line 😭 It is very, very fresh, but after a while I just can’t tolerate that particular note on me. Definitely not repurchase-worthy for me.

Two perfumes I’ll bring out if I finish some of these way too quickly 🤓

- Chloé Atelier des Fleurs Vanilla Planifolia - This is such a green vanilla. It smells like vanilla sitting somewhere in the middle of a lush green forest. Sometimes I really like it, and sometimes I don’t care for it at all. So I think it’s a good one to finally finish off.

- YSL Black Opium - This was THE perfume my boyfriend absolutely loved on me, so of course I kept repurchasing it whenever I finished a bottle 😂 But now, after accumulating way too many perfumes, he barely cares what I’m wearing anymore. He’ll just tell me whether something smells nice or not 😭 I’ve personally loved Black Opium for years too, but I think I’m finally over it. It’s that sweet coffee-vanilla type of scent, and I’m ready to move on from it.

Some bits & pieces about last month’s tray:

1. Rayhaan Jungle Vibe – This was my favourite last month. I’ve officially made up my mind to buy the original because if the dupe smells this amazing, I need to experience the real thing.

2. Fragrance World Eau de Soleil – Such a long-lasting scent! I really enjoy this one, especially on those light, easygoing days.

3. Giorgio Armani Si – Finished it, and honestly so happy about it 😂

4. Mykonos Slow Living – Finished this one too. I wouldn’t repurchase it, but I really enjoyed having it in my collection.

5. Chloé Atelier des Fleurs Vanilla Planifolia – My thoughts are already above!

6. Parfums de Marly Meliora – My garden-pond fairy fragrance of dreams 🧚🏻‍♀️

7. YSL Libre Flowers & Flames – Finished it and happy about it.

8. Bath & Body Works Guilty as Fig – I like this one so much. Now I seriously can’t wait to get Father Figure!

What’s a “happy” scent? Is it something that perks up your mood as soon as you spray it on, or something that you know is going to lead to a good day ahead after you do? In my opinion, it could be either!

Rose scents get such a bad rep sometimes. People tend to lump them together unfairly and associate them with something negative, like being matronly or grandma. Well, that’s a problem in itself, because why are we looking at age as a negative frame of reference? If anything, it’s beautiful, timeless, and, in many cases, nostalgic. Most of us have grown up around someone who wore a rose scent. Whether that reminds you of an Estée Lauder, Cacharel, Dior, or plain old talcum powder, there’s beauty in all those associations.

Rose was never something that appealed to me. It felt too “floral,” if that is even a thing. However, my untrained nose wasn’t equipped with the knowledge of the various kinds of rose scents. As we do with everything in life, we grow up, mature, and see things in a different light.

Unequipped and naive, I walked into Nordstrom convinced that I’d already fallen in love with Valaya, only to be severely underwhelmed, but story for another day! The very kind SA asked me about my preference in fragrances and told me that he’d make me try a bunch, but the caveat was that I’d neither know the brand name nor the scent. And that, my friends, is how I found my happy scent and one of my very first loves: Delina La Rosée.

People always talk about Delina & Delina Exclusif, whereas La Rosée always gets brushed aside. I remember the kind gentleman spraying it once on my wrist, and I couldn’t stop sniffing it until the very next morning! To me, it’s the definition of my fragrance profile. Light, airy, translucent, & almost luminous. The pear adds the right amount of crisp freshness, which is then carried over by the aquatic notes. It feels like fresh morning dew over the most perfect pink-petalled rose. Unlike rose water, which can lean a bit heavier to my nose, this feels like fresh water over roses, which makes complete sense in my brain! The lychee adds a bit of tartness that completes this fragrance beautifully, along with the musk and woody notes, which almost makes you feel like the same perfect rose is in a lush green forest, over the most perfect log of wood. And as you walk in and explore, it all melds beautifully into your own skin chemistry. Something Jenny Humphrey would wear before she was sucked into the Upper East Side, or Rachel Green as she walked into Central Perk in her wedding gown!

Delina La Rosée isn’t just another rose fragrance; it’s reminiscent of joy and almost like my very own gratitude reminder, because on the days I reach for this, I know it’s going to be a good day, at the very least! Writing this is making me thankful to that kind SA for changing my mind about a note that I was convinced wasn’t for me. See, grateful already!

Versace bright crystal,
Forest essentials Amrita,
Carolina Herrera Good girl,
YSL Libre,
Burberry London,
Gucci Bloom.

Now coming to the actual context, I’ve hardly ever found almost spot on dupes for any, but man this one which I grabbed last year at a fair in Goa, is soooo good. 🤌🏻

The only difference my barely mature smell senses could pick up was- the dupe has slightly toned down notes of ginger and lavender. And when I say slightly, it’s very very slight. And that too just on skin.
On clothes, side by side, they smell 95% similar.

And the dupe lasts much longer for me, idk why.

Just wanted to put this out here just in case anyone wants to smell like goddess in a budget!

I’m yet to try its dupe from Alternate scents. Let me know if you have and how that turned out for you!❣️

This body wash smells like white chocolate and vanilla but a soft smell.
