If that's true, it was a ridiculous moment, but since everyone will either give her grace or automatically defend or justify her, I guess it doesn't hurt.

“I’m reporting an erratic driving person, They are driving a BMW.”
“It almost sideswiped a couple of vehicles. It’s driving at high speeds. I’m worried they’re going to crash with somebody.”
“Possible drunk driver. It is a black BMW. They’re randomly breaking in and out of the lanes. Almost sideswiped three or four vehicles,” the individual added.
“I am loosely trailing them.”
I’ve heard stans say that Britney, early in her career, could sing very well, close to Christina Aguilera’s level of vocal skill; but then her record label forced her to do the baby voice, suppressing and ruining her natural vocal talent.
It sounds like another instance of stans painting her as a perpetual victim of everyone and everything.
According to a timeline of events, Britney arrived in Vegas three days before the show on Sunday, September 9th. On Friday evening, there is a rehearsal video where she is “camera blocking” in a hat, white crop top and jeans. In the next rehearsal video (shown here), she looks similar to the live show but is wearing a ponytail. Compared to the performance on Sunday, she looks noticeably more lucid, her moves are sharper, and she’s much more balanced and energetic.
The night before the live show, Britney went out partying all night and slept until noon on Sunday. She showed up to the venue hungover and belligerent and refused to allow Ken Paves to install her custom-made hair extensions (Nelly Furtado’s stylist grabbed some extensions from the hotel salon and installed them minutes before Britney went on stage). She also refused to wear the planned one-piece corset outfit, instead opting for a sequined bikini and black boots. She was reportedly nervous throughout the preparations, especially after Justin Timberlake stopped by her dressing room to wish her luck, and was drinking shots of tequila all afternoon to calm her nerves. When she took the stage for the infamous live performance, she looked dazed, lethargic, and unbalanced, forgetting to lip sync some of the words and stumbling multiple times.
Does anyone know if the “ponytail” rehearsal took place on the day before the live show? She’s wearing the same outfit, but I don’t think it happened on Sunday with Britney’s lateness to the venue and agitated mood (and she looks MUCH better in the rehearsal video). The timeline of events (linked in comments) don’t mention it, and I can’t find an exact date.
I feel like if Britney’s parents just came forward and explained the real situation it could probably bring a lot of clarity.
Like why does Lynn not say anything? Nor her dad or sister?
Whilst I know they would receive backlash, if I had a sister strung out on drugs / mental health issues, I would still set the record straight.
I also wonder if they are in the process in the background to get her in another conservatorship.
Disclaimer: this is a comment I found on the r/justintimberlake subreddit, so it's not my original work
"I've had a lot of time to think about this whole Britney thing, and I think I may have finally come to the conclusion as to why so many of her stans hate JT so much.
They probably believe if Britney and Justin had gotten married, her life would've never fallen apart like it did. Justin's family would've been her new surrogate family. *NSYNC would've been like brothers to her and protected her more than her actual siblings did. The wedding between Britney and Justin would've been like a Disney movie, and her life would've ended up like a fairy tale.
Since none of this ended up happening, they take their anger out on Justin more than they do the real villians in her life."
A common refrain from Britney stans is that "Kanye West/Justin Bieber/Robert Downey Jr./whatever other troubled male celebrity didn't get put in a conservatorship".
What are some rebuttals you would use to that way of arguing that the conservatorship was unnecessary?
They honestly believe Britney’s fans are “stunned” by her dance videos 😂😂😂
They were married for 55 hours in 2004 and the marriage was quickly annulled.
She was carried away on a stretcher that was headed to a psychiatric hospital
My guess is that (ironically, considering their talking points in our timeline) they would be attacking her family and/or the authorities for being neglectful and not doing anything to save her.
Honestly, with the way Britney’s life seems to be going lately, I think about this more and more.
If something tragic ever does happen years from now — overdose, health collapse, sudden death, whatever — do you think her estate would finally start opening the vault?
Because there are still these almost mythical unreleased tracks fans have talked about forever: Rebellion, Original Doll material, early demos, scrapped albums, etc.
MJ’s estate released so much stuff after he died, and Britney feels like one of the few remaining pop stars where there’s probably an insane amount of material hidden away because of how tightly controlled everything around her has always been.
Or do you think her team would just bury everything permanently?
If you look at it objectively, Britney and JLo aren't that different as artists: mid to subpar vocalists, barely wrote any of their songs, their main talents are as dancers/performers; and, let’s be honest, a huge part of their fame had to do with sex appeal and persona drama.
Yet JLo is seen by the GP as a catty, unlikeable, self-important diva with minimal talent, while Britney is seen as a sweet, innocent girl victimized by everyone uwu. I know that there are many accounts of JLo being rude and difficult to work with, so I’m not glazing her at all, but that is nothing compared to what Britney has done-getting a DUI, feeding her children food they were severely allergic to, burning their scalps with hair bleach, making them bathe with her when they were 10-11, beating Preston with a belt, and getting sued by a former bodyguard for sexual harassment.
For all of her flaws, JLo is a hardworking professional, while Britney is a serious risk to herself and others.
