[Online] [D&D 5e] [2014/2024] [GMT +8] [Homebrew Setting] [Campaign] [3 Sessions In And Still Lvl 1] [Beginners are welcome!]

10 years ago, a mist swallowed the city of Duskwatch whole, and the moon that hangs over it has never moved since. People go in. Nothing comes out — or so everyone believes. Now it's the world's dumping ground, a lawless prison where two factions fight over what's left of a city that used to be the richest trading hub the world had ever seen.

The Wardens believe survival means holding what ground you have and enduring. The Freedom Knights believe staying is a slow death, and that escape is worth any risk. Everyone else — villagers, prisoners, the forgotten — lives caught between them, scraping by at the mist's edge.

You didn't choose to end up here. But your story doesn't end inside the mist. Whatever you find in Duskwatch, whatever finds you first, may be exactly what it takes to get back out — and into the larger continent of Newbania!

Pretty simple hook but I hope that got you interested! Hi, I'm a fairly new DM(18 yrs old and have just started running campaigns) and a few players from one of my parties had to pull out due to real life things so I'm looking for 1 or 2 players that would like to join! The way I want to run my sessions are more roleplay oriented but there will always be combat at least every other session! Note that while the setting might give you the idea that its a dark fantasy, our sessions aren't grimdark and stuff it's js that the circumstances in Duskwatch caused it to seem like that and the world itself is high fantasy rather than dark fantasy so if you're interested, please apply by sending me a DM, the format should be:

Name & Pronouns:
Age:
Timezone & Availability(ie. GMT +8, Saturdays 1PM - 4PM[As of now, this is our current sched]):
D&D Experience:
Favorite Part about D&D:
Lines & Veils:
Any information I might need to know:

Looking for f2f D&D games for next year

Hello! I am going back to PH for a year next year and I would like to know if there are d&d campaigns that will host f2f sessions within the Metro by then. Hopefully a beginner friendly group since I’m planning to introduce my filo friends to d&d as well. And I have played 2 campaigns so far so I’m still going to need guidance as well in playing.

[Looking for Players] Discord server for Face-to-Face Homebrew Oneshots (Metro Manila)

Hello! Just wanted to post here as the DnD Hyperfixation is taking over and I'd really love to do more f2f homebrew sessions around Metro Manila. I've created a discord server for it and I'm currently trying to find more players.

You'd probably wanna join if:
* You like face to face sessions
* You'd like to take a bit of a break from AL and play more homebrew
* You wanna play DND but don't have the time for a full blown campaign
* You wanna play different themes like Manhwa - Inspired, JJK- Inspired, Filipino - Inspired, etc.
* You'd like safe space that doesn't tolerate Discrimination or Bigotry.

If you're interested send a DM so I can send the server. Ill probably ask a few questions first though before letting you in for safety and privacy reasons. Thank u.

My platform accommodates solo-play with the goal of getting folks to play in groups

I am a bit of a loner, but I also grew up playing D&D in a group. Once we all graduated and moved on, and left the area, it became hard to find a group. My kids became interested in the game and I sat down and taught them, but it took time, and I travel for work, so I made a platform for both solo and multiplayer synchronous and async play. My kids and I are using it and having fun, and so I thought maybe other would too. I wonder if it has broader appeal or use. Everdice - Fantasy RPG Companion

I HAVE NEVER PLAYED DND

I wanna try RPG cause COD and Pokemon Go isn't fun anymore, and Dungeons and Dragons just captivated me, even made a character already (a socially awkward, freakishly tall, 6ft, halfling). Can anyone suggest where I can try to play, like learn the game? I'd really appreciate the suggestions y'all can give me.

DM idea bouncing

Hello everyone,
I am a starting DM running 2 campaigns for the last 6-7 months each.
I have plenty of ideas and unfortunately no one to share with or bounce ideas from.
I am not a super stickler for the rules and I value storytelling more than anything.
If anyone care to occasionally send ideas to each other with no obligation just for sharing with someone passionate and would give pointers and be respectful.
I use telegram so dm me and I’ll send you the link.
Comment here if you’re interested maybe we can open a group chat of a few people.

New to Level 20? Want to Learn Combat Without a Campaign? [Online][D&D 5e 2014][Level 20][Combat][Playtest][Beginners Welcome

I run a weekly level 20 combat gauntlet designed to help players learn high-level D&D mechanics in a fun, low-pressure environment. Each week features a new encounter with a rotating group of players, and you can bring a different character every session, try out new subclasses, and see how different builds perform in tough fights. We use 5.5e rules with 2014 subclass compatibility, and characters start at level 20 with one Legendary, two Very Rare, and one Rare item. Encounters rotate weekly so you never fight the same thing twice. No campaign commitment, no pressure, just good combat and good company.

New players welcome, veterans welcome, everyone welcome.

Wednesdays 3pm Pacific Standard Daylight Time

With a couple more people we might open a 2nd day.

[Online] newbie over here !!

Good day everyone! I have been wanting to try DnD for the longest time but haven't found people to do it with, so I decided to just look for it my own! I am willing to learn but understand if it's frustrating to teach me but I'm very active online and would love to join campaigns or learn the basics first :)) Open to irl campaigns too if I have time !

newbie overthinking concern: how do you know if your dm is frustrated with you?

hello there! Newbie in d&d here, and I am playing in a d&d discord server, and want to chat our DM regarding my character's lore and ask him all bunch of questions. But I'm shy to ask them since they already have a lot on their plate and my character is already complicated enough. The last conversation that I had with our DM was informing him on what I wanna do that one time my character went unconscious after the battle, and they asked as to why my character has a lot of trauma, and I answered that I don't know. Mainly because my character's backstory and lore is already traumatizing enough, then another traumatic event happened to my character and I wanted to play into that.

Then my DM wanted to clarify a few things with me, and I think they are already frustrated with me so I really shied away from asking them any more questions and just thanked them. And then proceeded to ask if I need to lessen my character's trauma, basically rebuild my character's backstory and lore, then no reply from our DM. I asked another question a few days after, but I was met with the same no reply from our DM.

This is my first time, so I don't know if I'm playing it wrong since the beginning of character creation and our session zero.

Is our DM frustrated with me? Should I not bother him with my questions anymore? Are questions about my character's lore and backstory irrelevant? Should I just trust our DM in what they wanna do with my character? Should I apologize? Or should I just keep asking about my character, and risk it?

Where to buy dnd accessories

Hi, everyone!

I’m looking for recommendations on where to buy quality D&D accessories as gifts for my bf who’s into tabletop RPGs.

I’m mainly looking for:
* Battle mats/ Dungeon tiles
* Terrain pieces
* Minis
* Other useful DM accessories

Bonus points if you’ve personally bought from them and had a good experience.

Thank you!

[Online] [5e/2024 Rules or 2014] [LFG] Couple Looking for a DM & Another Couple for a Long-Term Campaign

Hey everyone! My partner and I are looking to join a fun, long-term D&D campaign with other couples. Ideally, we're looking for a DM who enjoys running games for couples (and can bring one they can romance with an NPC if they want :3) and is interested in creating a character-driven, roleplay-heavy experience, along with one or two other couples (2–4 players total) who want to adventure together. We're open to any official Forgotten Realms campaign (Curse of Strahd, Icewind Dale, Storm King's Thunder, etc.) or a homebrew world of the DM's choosing. We're happy to let the DM run the story they're most passionate about.

To clarify, we're not looking for a romance-focused campaign where the plot revolves around the couples themselves. Think of Vox Machina as an example: several characters are in romantic relationships, but the campaign is still about the adventure, the world, and the overarching story. We'd love for relationships to develop naturally and add emotional depth, while remaining just one part of a much larger adventure.

What we're looking for:

 • LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive.
 • A mix of roleplay, exploration, and combat.
 • A campaign where relationships between characters can naturally develop.
 • A story where the adventure comes first, with romance serving as a natural part of the characters rather than the main focus.
 • Players who enjoy teamwork, storytelling, and having fun over min-maxing.
 • Weekly or bi-weekly sessions (schedule can be discussed).
 • Player character death and how it will be handled will be discussed by the DM and players before Session 0, so everyone is on the same page.
