Some of my thoughts regarding the Fan Card:
I am curious to hear your thoughts on the card and am looking forward to your feedback!
Note that returning to your Action phase does not automatically grant you an additional Buy (only an additional Buy phase), so without an additional source of +Buy the utility of Active is limited.
Hi,
I've been designing a new expansion with a mate and plan on printing it as a surprise for his birthday - would be good to get feedback on badly priced cards/cards that don't work before I send it off to make.
New aspects - Poisoned cards should be self-explanatory (gives a route to better cards earlier on but reduces VP); vendors are like villagers/coffers but for buys
NOTE: Degrade/Declutter is a split pile. Degrade should read 'deck', not 'hand'
“Roll a die” means roll a standard 6-sided die. So you will always get exactly two of the four options, with four possible combinations.
I don’t know, maybe it’s not all that impressive, but we got a three-way tie the other day of 27 points each.
I'm trying to make a deck wherein every card laughs. I just can't remember which cards laugh when you play them
Card Cascade makes it easier to store your Dominion sets, and reuses the storage boxes for play using a unique cascade mechanism. The designs are my own and are entirely free for you to download and print.
A load of small changes makes this a much better version than the original v6.0, based on feedback from both my own and others' experience. The changes were already published for Compile and Food Chain Magnate, but Dominion has more than 20 configurations so upgrading it is a lot of work :)
This is why you might care:
The external dimensions have not changed since v6.0, so you can reuse components if you like, though I'm reprinting the box and holders for my own use at least. The one exception is the Token Holder, which needs to be a bit smaller in this version.
You can see the full set of changes in v6.5 in r/cardcascade. Please join the discussion.
Download all of the print files for free on Makerworld.
I hope you like the improvements! Comments below please!
This Event allows you to play any number of Action cards after your Buy phase. You can’t use any coin you gain this way because you can’t Buy outside of your Buy phase, but you can still gain cards, attack, trash, etc.
Unlike the Buy phase, there is currently no way to return from your Night phase back to your Action phase.
I love to play Dominion on my TV using a gyro controller for mouse control because it’s nice to play on such a large display. I realize I could use mouse on the TV just fine, but I have some macros I like to use as shortcuts to, e.g. click Play Treasures. But does anyone know if TGG Dominion is ever getting official controller support through a console release or otherwise? I know I would also love to be able to play Dominion on Switch.
If this is placed on Village, it becomes Snowy Village, except without +Buy.
Part of a series of Traits derived from cards. See Grand.
When asking copilot "Why do players think the setup has 6.37 Provinces":
Ah, the legendary “6.37 Provinces” setup myth — that’s one of those quirky Dominion jokes born from players trying to mathematically normalize Province piles across different player counts.
🧩 Why “6.37 Provinces” comes up
Provinces per player math
Dominion’s official rules give:
2 players → 8 Provinces
3–4 players → 12 Provinces
5–6 players → 15 Provinces
If you divide Provinces by players, you get:
2 players → 4 each
3 players → 4 each
4 players → 3 each
5 players → 3 each
6 players → 2.5 each
Some players try to find a “smooth curve” or average across these values. When you crunch the numbers, the mean Provinces per player across all setups is about 3.37. Multiply that by 2 players, and you get ~6.74. Round or fudge the math differently, and you end up with the meme “6.37 Provinces.”
So me and my friend recently got Adventures and have been experimenting with the deck. We put Disciple (Peasant), Royal Carriage, and Miser together. We both tried to collect coppers in the Tavern so we weren't really getting extra money and we were waiting on Misers. Once we started using Misers, things picked up.
My friend put 4 Royal Carriages on a Miser, putting 2 Disciples on 2 Misers, and an additional Miser plus a silver for a total of 106 coins (math might be off for the coins, but that's irrelevant here). He literally bought the rest of the Provinces (3, I had 5), all the Dutchies, and 5 Estates.
EDIT: SORRY! I forgot to mention that we also had the event card that allows you to get +2 buys. I forgot what it's called and we've put the game up now, so that's how he got so many buys.
Is this allowed??? That feels so broken...
Is there a good place I could offer to send people replacement cards if they need some and cover shipping? Would a post here be a good idea?
I thrifted a box of Dark Ages, only to discover that most of the cards in it were base game cards instead. I planned on just using the few DA cards that were there and complete, and discarding the rest, but then someone gifted me a new box, so now I will probably just toss the first box/cards. I'd like to give them to someone if they could use them though, but it wouldn't be worth donating back to the thrift store...
Do any websites or forums talk strategy about today's Daily on the app? I usually get destroyed on the daily but managed to win one this week.
Idk why anyone would get rid of all their Dominion, but their loss is my gain. Was able to get all the expansions I don’t have for $30 ($15 for alchemy) each. Some of them are in better shape than others but all very very playable still.
Total haul:
They also had 1e Hinterlands and 1e Seaside so I picked those up for a friend who didn’t have them. Now all I have to do is wait for Arcana!
Any sets that combo like 3-4 of these that you’ve enjoyed to get a feel for them? Typically, when I get a new one I’ll spend some time playing the recommended sets with each of the expansions I already have, and some random sets of just the one. But I’ve never gotten more than one at a time (and never will again!) I’ve played a bunch on the TGG client and with friends’ sets, so I’m familiar with the cards but would love to dive into the funny things each is doing.
I went through a lot of iterations with this one. With the current numbers, it starts being better than Provinces after buying it about 4 times by my estimation. But from there it rapidly gets *much* better than Provinces. Assuming you can keep feeding it Actions.
