I was playing doors and first run I got to 100 but got killed thru a wall
Second run I found a crucifix in a drawer and got to door 50. Was getting books, saw figure across the room, mind you, I was in that blocked off nook looked for 2 seconds. I turn around he's there, I try sneaking away, my crucifix got used so I just rage quit
Theoretically, I could've waited till the shop and get a crucifix but there's also a low chance that a crucifix won't spawn so

I keep dying to rush because I get so many rooms that have loud rain and I can't hear him and sometimes the lights flicker even when he's not coming, so they're unreliable as a tell
