I know the COF are with Vulkan He’Stan right now so they’re fine, he mentioned there are other chapters on the planet doing secret stuff. So my head canon is that the Black Vipers are there being anti social as usual. And then our poor boys the Dragonspears 🫩 the Ork Hunters deserved to be there

Here is my first ever mini: Captain Katari of the 3rd Company!

As the two walked on, Caleb asked the Storm Giant if there will be more like him to come and help. Boreas responded and confirmed that he was there to meet with more of his team mates. Before the Captain could continue, he heard a voice call out his name over the vox transmitter.

“Captain can you hear me? Can anyone hear me ?”, “ Cacus? Where are you?”

There was a tone of relief as Boreas was able to hear his Sergeant. “ If I can hear you with slight static then you must not be far”. Sergeant Cacus informed his Captain about not being the only chapter in the area, as he had assistance in fighting a rather large daemon. Boreas advised Cacus to meet up with him and Caleb as they searched for his mother and brother.

Boreas end his transmission quickly to his comrade with, “Hurry Cacus”. At this moment, Caleb saw his mother holding his baby brother on the ground. “ Mother!” cried Caleb as she looked and locked eyes from its direction. Caleb began to run with whatever adrenaline and hope he had in his feet. The space marine reacted faster than the boy as he charged in the womans direction.

Captain Boreas placed his hand in front of the boys chest to halt him in place. The space marine moved faster than any normal human and with his motion leapt in front of the woman and her baby to counter an attack from a foe that matched his speed. Boreas swung his power maul, Northwind at tip of a corrupted power spear held by the chaos marine. Caleb called out to his mother as a means to retreat her to his location, but the woman was frozen in fear because she knew the speed of the daemon was quicker than her. Caleb, saw this and ran to his mother despite the Captains order. The Daemon saw this too and activated his jetpack to focus on the boy rather than the storm giant.

“A coward and traitor to ignore my fight daemon!!” Boreas huffed. The daemon laughed and exclaimed that the boys innocent blood was more attractive than a son of the false god.

Boreas threw northwind at the daemons jetpack striking him off course of his target allowing Caleb to not only reunite with his family but for the marine to focus on his battle.

The Storm Giant engaged the Chaos Daemon again in a close quarters combat, punching him in the center over and over. His opponent reacted with his bodies physically showing injury despite it not screaming in pain. The two fought until the Boreas unsheathed a combat knife and thrusted it straight into the skull of the daemon. He was exhausted and breathing heavy but out of the corner of his vison, he saw the three looking at him with tears.

He was breathing heavy because during the fight, Boreas sustained a laceration under his armor and directly into his carapace. The giant fell down on his back holding his wound. Caleb walked up to his hero, and placed his hand on the aquila giving his thanks and whispering a prayer his people said to ask for hope.

“Captain!!!”, a voice yelled as it got closer. It was Cacus. Cacus said the wound was not terminal but had to be treated to keep the body from losing anymore blood. “Its okay Captain, you are not going to meet the emperor or the forge father today”
