Full coverage recommendations?

I used to use Estée Lauder foundation until they changed the formula and now my skin hates it. Most recently I went to the drugstore to look for cheaper options and tried Maybelline super stay and L’Oréal True Match. Both of them looked great for the first 30 minutes and then just started turning super oily and gross on my skin. Even with setting powder/spray. Is there any other holy grail recommendations that I should try for oily skin that will give a full coverage effect and lasts a good while throughout the day?

Everything else is from my local Shoppers drug mart 💝

I’m wearing Maybelline 4 in 1 perfector. it’s a nice cream foundation vibe.

The concealler is by hard candy in shade 1970 (fair as they go)

Lipstick is a mix of three products

wet and wild Teal to be devil

Esse semi matte 12 shade loyal

and an orangish pink eyeshadow from my nyx ultimate shadow palette.

the glitter highlighter is Nyx jumbo multi use face stick in shade vanilla ice cream!

(I didn’t use setting spray or powder I’m just raw dogging life 😭)

Mascara!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a drugstore mascara rec. I use mascara maybe twice a month. Most importantly, I want something that comes in brown-brownish black and is extremely natural. I’m not looking for any crazy length or volume, I just want it to make my lashes a little darker and hold a curl. I would love a tubing option because I like something long lasting that is easy to wash off but I’m willing to concede on that. I also hate when mascara feels wet, I would love it to be on the drier and wispier side. Thank you!

Which blush?

Hello :) I’m stuck between two blushes. Want a true pink for my medium/warm olive skin tone. I usually go for beige/peachy blushes so looking for a pink that doesn’t lean mauve. Which of these two do you prefer? I know the Morphe just released but it’s beautiful! And barely discovered lady so I’m also loving it! Been swatching both in store for a few days but can’t decide!

What are some must have makeup products?

I am looking to get some new makeup as a treat for myself after a tough few months, and I have no budget! I was thinking a new blush, but I would love some recommendations- especially for a concealer. I have under eye creases naturally whether I’m wearing makeup or not, and so I expect it to crease anyway, but I have quite dark purple circles and I have yet to find a concealer to cover them.

My skin tone is cool olive, and I am quite pale! I was thinking of trying the Natasha denona concealer?

Any recommendations? Xx

Neutrogena, Hayden Panettiere, and PPD

Hayden Panettiere said Neutrogena dropped her after she publicly opened up about suffering from postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter, Kaya, in 2014. Panettiere had been partnered with the brand for roughly a decade when, in 2015, she spoke candidly about her experience. She later said Neutrogena contacted her representatives and attempted to end her contract because of her comments, but her representative pushed back, arguing that doing so could be illegal. While her existing contract continued, she said she was not invited back the following year. Panettiere said she never regretted speaking openly about postpartum depression. Neutrogena has not publicly confirmed her account. The story has resurfaced following Panettiere’s death at 36 on August 16, 2026.

Can you open the pump top on this bottle?

I didn’t know how to tag this one lmao

I’ve had this foundation before, I liked it but the shade was a bit off. I’ve tried many drugstore foundations and come to the conclusion that my shade doesn’t exist in the drugstore. So I was wondering if I can take off the pump and mix in some of that L.A. Girl blue mixing pigment?

I also liked the skin tint from this same line and it would be easy to put in the pigment, but I hate the dropper bottle, it’s so messy. I’ve heard people have bought a pump for that but if I could just open the one with a pump already on it, that would be much easier.

Also I mean specifically this version with the silver top, not the US version with a white top.

Elf Halo Glow Light Pink Setting Powder Color Change?

Did this powder recently change color or is it just the packaging making it look a lot more pink? I like the old peachy version.

Switching out my mom’s old makeup bag

Going through my mom’s makeup bag and I realized basically everything in there needs to be replaced. She’s probably had some of these products for years and a bunch of them are cracked or just completely done, so I want to surprise her with a little makeup bag refresh. Already got her a light foundation and a skin tint since she doesn’t really wear concealer. Now I need blush, bronzer, setting spray, lipstick and mascara recommendations. I want to keep everything drugstore and pretty easy to use since she likes a simple everyday makeup look nothing super heavy or crazy pigmented. Would especially love a blush and bronzer that blend easily a comfortable lipstick and a mascara that gives nice volume without being a pain to remove.

Obsessed with this ILIA skin tint dupe

I’ve been using the ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint. It’s around $40 and the bottle leaks like crazy. I probably lost at least 20 percent of it just because it leaked in bag.

I picked this up at Target and OH MY GOD. It’s so much better. It’s so lightweight and hydrating. I’ve loved Wet and Wild products for years, but this is definitely one of my all-time favs.

I’m not sure if it’s even supposed to necessarily be a dupe, but for me it is.

I love it so much. 100/10, I’ll be buying this again.

Edit: This is a dupe for me personally. It replaced the more expensive brand I was using. I didn't realize the word "dupe" had a definitive and and permanent meaning. Apologies if the wording was unclear.

Inner Corner Highlighter

So I’ve been using the NYX Eye Pencil in the shade Frosting for years now, but I feel like it’s just not doing enough for me anymore. It’s more ashy than shiny and it doesn’t give the highlight I want for the inner corner of my eyes.

Does anyone have highlighter or eyeshadow recommendations that are good for this? I was looking into the NYX Buttermelt Highlighter but the shade I wanted was sold out.

I also have brown skin and prefer shades that are a bit warmer.

Looking for cool toned pastel pink blushes that actually has pigment

Powder, cream, liquid, etc formulas all welcome! First pic is exactly what I’m looking for if I can find it in an American drugstore or reliable Amazon seller. Other pics are other inspo, last pic is a product I bought which I do love the color but unfortunately it is too sheer

Also I am somewhat just getting into make up so I have a lot to learn. Maybe I’m looking for the wrong product to achieve this look or maybe such a light color with pigment just isn’t possible. Let me know your thoughts!

Help me recreate this look with drugstore products?

I’m completely obsessed with this look that Julia Adams created. What products would you recommend to do a similar look but with drugstore products?

Is the Essence foundation stick a good product?

I don’t like a high coverage foundation/base. I want sheer to light coverage. The problem is a lot of foundations are marketed as medium to high coverage lately. Sure there are skin tints, but I don’t want a skin tint (I like the idea of them, but their formulas don’t focus on longevity like foundations do). I want a light coverage foundation.

I saw a few reviews of this stick online, that state it’s creamy and leaves a nice, natural finish. I’m wary of those types of reviews though because so many are sponsored now.

I have skin that leans dry, because I use adapalene for my acne. I generally make sure to prep well prior to makeup though. I also tend to get separation on my upper lip and chin that really annoys me.

Would this stick work for me?
