Really unpleasant experience with a researcher and want to vent while also seeking advice on what to do next.

Mission was given and accepted on 6/16, and consisted of 28 activities, each with 3-6 videos that needed to be recorded, apps downloaded and deleted multiples times. Some videos needed me to borrow another phone to download apps and the phone with dscout app on to record the UX. Payout was initially $100 and we were given ~30hrs to complete all of this.

Obviously I’m not the only one who found this appalling because soon after they followed up and said they extended the timeline to 3 days and increased the payout to $150.

Honestly completing all of this took upwards of 10hrs. Which I rushed to complete before the 6/20 deadline.

2 weeks later, I was still not paid out. Researcher messaged me and gave me vague feedback that “some videos did not capture right content”. And gives me 48hrs to complete it.

When I asked which video specifically, they said they’ll get back to me during office hours tomorrow 7/3, and since it’s a holiday weekend, they can give me until Monday morning to resubmit everything requested.

All this to say that this is terribly unprofessional. Is there anything we can do to file a complaint? Is this normal?!

I am SO GLAD that I found Dscout!! I made $767 in my first month which absolutely blows me away (I'm a SAHM so being able to create this type of income on my own time is amazing!)

HOWEVER -- I was selected for most of these missions the first couple of weeks that I downloaded the app. As of right now I'm waiting on a couple more payouts and have only been selected for 1 active mission.

Please tell me that there is hope I'll be able to keep generating income like this, and it wasn't some type of beginners luck?

Random thought I had, but I’ve made around $640 after beginning to use dscout this year. I know if you make 400-600 dollars in additional income you need to report this on your taxes. Does dscout send a 1099/tax form during tax season, or is this Paypal’s responsibility since that’s where the payouts go?

This is not an urgent question, was just curious if anyone had experience with this!

Did anyone else get invited to a $40 diary mission where you’re supposed to download an app, make a purchase/sale, complete almost a dozen activities over 4 weeks, and apparently do screen recordings?

I’m trying to figure out if I’m missing something because the compensation seems insane for the amount of work (and spending your own money). I hope I’m misunderstanding the directions… because if not, this is the worst mission I’ve ever seen and I’ve been on Dscout a long time.

I used to see a few express missions a day, and tbh they were where I made the most cash. Now they are gone. I haven’t seen an express mission to apply for in weeks. I even reach out to support thinking there was an account issue….apparently my account is fine and I got a response like well “Scouts don’t qualify for every mission” well no sh*t, but said missions have vanished. Am I the only one?

I completed a 135$ live mission based on social media survey and I haven’t received the payment yet and its been more than a week. Anyone facing similar issue ?

You guys complaining about the screen out or being unable to give surveys and here I am who didn't receive one since I signed up

That’s all. I’m getting tired of the missions being low pay and an insane amount of work - wish there was a way to give feedback on every mission instead of just express
