My freshman shooting guard led us to the promised land.

That 5 star freshman I recruited really paid off! Made us a 3 seed. We got revenge on #4 seed Cal for eliminating us last year. We eliminated them in the elite 8. Then we beat a 1 seed Colorado 93-77 in the title game. End up getting coach of the year having coached the freshman of the year. DePaul is truly relevant again. Hope to get a lifetime contract and win more titles.

The Elite 8 Nobody Predicted.

Wild scenario brewing in my current Legacy Mode. If both UMES and VMI take care of business in the Sweet 16, we'd get an Elite 8 matchup nobody saw coming. Two mid-major schools, one trip to the Final Four on the line. Rooting for chaos here. Would love to see either of these programs cut down nets. Anyone else got a Cinderella run going in their own save?

Why do you still play this game?

With so many new games and consoles out now why do you still commit so many hours on this almost 2 decade old game?

For me it's simple I only own a Xbox 360. Never really had the passion for video games after high school. For some reason I always kept my Xbox 360 and it's some of the few games I had in the stash. I like college basketball so I play it.

How about you?

Respect 🫡

Gotta respect that kind of play, nice chemistry from Tennessee

I’ve just had one of those kinds of College Hoops nights where you get several strange plays 😂

A-10 championship Game

Playing against Xavier is hell! This is the roster with Souley Boum, Colby jones and Zach Fremantle . I was up the whole game until of course the last minute of the game . I thought it was over 😂 Ryan Daly which is who shot the ball is my best player BTW

Question about college to pro compatibility…

Like college football and madden from ea, can you do a super star mode or draft/recruiting class from college to pros? So like college hoops 2k8 to nba 2k8, or college basketball 10 to nba live 10?

2028-29 DePaul Season

The Big East Conference Tournament was March Madness Mayhem!

Round 1 -
An unranked Seton Hall team beat #22 Villanova 84-82. West Virginia beat UConn 79-73 which means we will have a new Big East champion this year.

Round 2 was a round of upsets.
My #24 DePaul beat #11 Rutgers 112-95. Unranked Cincinnati beat #3 Georgetown 63-62. Seton Hall beat #8 Marquette 70-67

Semifinal between the two overachievers Cincinnati and Seton Hall is won by Seton Hall 75-72. DePaul beat #15 Syracuse 123-114.

The finals
DePaul beat Seton Hall 92-77

Aftermath:
Georgetown becomes a 1 seed.
Rutgers and Marquette become 2 seeds.
Syracuse becomes a 4 seed.
DePaul becomes a 5 seed.
Villanova becomes an 8 seed.
UConn becomes a 10 seed.
Cincinnati becomes a 12 seed.

It’s a miracle we made it through the Big East tournament.

DePaul, Big East tournament champs made it to the sweet sixteen before losing to the #1 overall seed Cal. DePaul had a 2 point lead in the final 3 minutes of the game. Cal went on a 8-0 run and DePaul never recovered.

Marquette wins the tournament. 92 overall. 29-7 (13-5)
Georgetown gets coach of the since they were a number 1 seed in the tournament and Big East regular season champions.
Syracuse had a player of the conference.

Very great year by the Big East but our 5 star 85 overall freshman shooting guard is going to shake up things in the conference before heading to the draft in a season or two.

Wish me luck.

Do you want to add NIL to your legacy? Use this template!

Hey guys, as we all know, college basketball and college sports in general have changed drastically over the last five years. I’m always looking to make the game more immersive, adding challenges and randomness to help reflect the current state of college basketball is a must! I have created this template for my legacy that I have been playing for Hawaii. Feel free to take some of these ideas in order to make the game more challenging and fun. Just a note, I typically play every single game and I’ve gotten really good at the game so this is a must for me. I am not sure how it would work with sim players, where it is more out of your control whether the games are won or lost. Either way, I know we all enjoy playing the game and if this is something you’re interested in feel free to use it or create your own. This should get you started.

You’ll notice that getting one of the best players in the country is definitely gonna eat up some of your NIL budget. World recruit and Juco recruits are typically cheaper. Three star and below are obviously bargains compared to the four and five star. I’ve gotten really good at recruiting and I can put together top five classes every year if I really want to, so this kind of keeps me in check and makes me develop players. I also have a different rule system that I played by when it comes to players transferring, which involves rolling dice. I may share that later. Hometown recruits will give you a discount as well, so definitely put a fence around your backyard!

Oh Really.

You buying this report from my scout telling me he can rebound with the best of them?

I’ll be honest I’m knew to this game, skipped it during my childhood (went 08 to 10)

Obviously it’s similar to those games, but if anyone knows me I’m a big College Hoops 2k7 guy.. I’m a lil rusty toward the EA games.

Had a random $11.27 in my Apple Cash & thought to heck with it, and got it lol

I don’t think it is possible to know a greater pain! I left Indiana State for Depaul University two seasons ago and Indiana State just went undefeated.

I am distraught. They went undefeated without me! I am proud of those boys! And at the same time I feel like Tom Thibodeau right now. It should’ve been me!

On top of that I was one of the teams they beat this season. 63-46. 🥹🍻

Marquette is already proving to be a great rival. They’ve eliminated us in the Big East tournament 2 years in a row. Both blowouts. But I’m doing okay so far. 18-13 first season at DePaul and 21-10 this season.

Hawaii (alternate universe) legacy- Episode 3 *TOP RECRUITING CLASS*

HAWAII BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES ELITE RECRUITING CLASS

Honolulu, Hawaii — Coach Jay Buck and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors have officially announced a recruiting class that could change the future of the program.

Coming off a 23-6 season, a Big East semifinal appearance, and a Sweet 16 run, Hawaii has followed it up by signing one of the best classes in school history.

Leading the way are two 5-star Mr. Basketball winners who are expected to make immediate impacts.

Roger Deberry
5-Star | No. 1 Small Forward | No. 1 Overall Player in the Nation | Mr. Basketball
Anaheim, California
Deberry is the centerpiece of the class and arguably the biggest recruit Hawaii has ever signed. Many recruiting analysts consider him one of the best prospects in recent college basketball memory.

The arrival of NIL has completely changed the college basketball landscape, and Deberry is already benefiting from it. Thanks to Hawaii’s wealthy alumni network and passionate donor base, Deberry has commanded a staggering $4 million NIL package, making him one of the highest-paid players in the young NIL era.
He possesses true superstar potential and is expected to become an immediate starter and the new face of Hawaii basketball.

Gidell Greene
5-Star | No. 2 Point Guard | No. 27 Overall Player in the Nation | Mr. Basketball
West Valley City, Utah

Greene is expected to slide directly into the starting lineup from day one. An exceptional playmaker with elite court vision, he projects as the perfect floor general to orchestrate Jay Buck’s up-tempo offense.

Rylan Brewington
4-Star | 6’5” Point Guard | No. 15 Point Guard | No. 111 Overall Player in the Nation | Idaho Mr. Basketball
Nampa, Idaho

Brewington brings tremendous size to the backcourt and gives Hawaii another versatile guard who can defend multiple positions. His length and athleticism fit perfectly into Buck’s pressure-heavy system.

Eliah Carroto
4-Star | 6’10” Power Forward | No. 29 Power Forward in the Nation
Fresno, California

Carroto adds much-needed size to Hawaii’s frontcourt and possesses tremendous upside. His combination of length, mobility, and physicality should allow him to thrive in Hawaii’s fast-paced style of play.

With the departures of Demarcus Draughan, Prosper Holt, Bob Heinen, and Nick Swift, Coach Jay Buck wasted no time reloading the roster.
What once looked like a risky experiment has quickly become one of the most fascinating stories in college basketball.

In just five years, Hawaii has transformed from a rebuilding program into a destination school capable of landing the No. 1 player in America.

The pressure is growing, expectations are rising, and the rest of the Big East is officially on notice.
Hawaii isn’t rebuilding. Hawaii is reloading.
