Always love having a team with strong defensive identity, they’re all multiple year guys in the program.
Love getting to a new university and in about year 2 or 3 I can feel the switch in the players that are recruited to fit my style of play.
I swear 2K could never replicate the immersion they put into these games in 2000-2014.
Anyone else wish they made college hoops up to at least 2k11 😢
Just hit a 3pt shot with 1.3 seconds left, put me up by 1 point.
Full court pass and drains it, Allen Fieldhouse erupted!
Time to suite up for the next game, learn from this one lol
If you’re a College Football fan, me and my wife watched Alabama St. Vs. UAPB a few nights ago (great back and forth game)
Anyway, I decided I wanted to start up an HBCU Legacy.
I picked Southern because I think their jerseys and location are great.
year 3 I had 6 transfers come onto the team in the last 2 years.
Now they’re all together and beginning the season, it feels special (also kinda like modern basketball with so many transfers)
R. Sparrow 6’11 206lbs PF from Kentucky 82 Ovr.
S. Mullins 6’3 201lbs SG From Southern Miss 76 Ovr.
J. Callans 6’10 238lbs SF from Miami 75 Ovr.
A. Slater 6’7 272lbs PF from George Mason 72 Ovr.
R. blalock 6’10 225lbs PF from Houston 71 Ovr.
R. Ball 6’10 272lbs C from San Francisco 70 Ovr.
3 guys meet their star Sr. Guard (PS anyone hate playing this dude he’s super good and always cooks at Coastal Carolina)
Then So. PF Fellows *blocks a 3pt attempt and Hobbs takes it for the lay on the other end..
Beautiful effort from the team, makes a coach proud when you get guys to buy in and play together.
It’s a good feeling when your typically undersized Front Court has the advantage because Coastal Carolina only has 3 6’6 PF’s & 1 6’7 SF
Fellows and Hobbs both 6’8 215-220 have been swatting shots all day this one was especially unkind and finished with the alley oop
Nice little dish off from the big, and layup by the SF
They are my rival but I respect a great play when I see one
Wanted to do a refresh and start a new Legacy, first year at Charleston Southern has been great so far!
This play was nice (imo)
A lot of surprise players have stepped it up, we are woefully short on shooters
We have a lot of streaky players but Peterson (72 Ovr SG) has been a star.
Wyoming already kicking my buns and then they tried this formation, I was so confused where the tackles went haha
When you finally reach the peak after Campbell - Wichita St - Missouri - now Gonzaga the last 2 seasons.
It all culminates in having a dope squad of absolute ballers ⛹️ year over year and they can make some pretty amazing plays sometimes.
Love these games man
Anyone ever notice how much smoother your team feels the higher the Unity.
It’s like all those games they’ve played together make a difference in these games..
Had a thought this morning, why not make a good & Evil Team inspired by Lord Of The Rings.
Got to work, and this was the result, I’m pretty happy with it tbh
Got that boy frying in the Sun, both parents don’t like kids, so I kinda feel bad for lil man
Playing Creighton in Tampa,Fl
Then both teams travel Spirit Air and play at Louis Brown Athletic Center the next night lol
Most years you’ll see players transfer from bigger schools (Washington, Clemson, Ohio St etc..) and go to mid majors or lower some rare occasions a even level conference transfer
But what’s all the reasons they’ll transfer is it almost solely because playing time.
could performance be a thing as well, player is scoring less points, getting less rebounds and he feels like he’s regressing at the program so he leaves?
Could he become home sick and want to play closer to home, just curious if anyone has any idea how the transfer system works.
I found Taquan Gill an interesting transfer going to play at Rutgers, he got bumped to the 6th man this season but still was getting equal minutes.
Just less production.. but then he transferred to Rutgers to be closer to home is my guess.
Thanks!
Virginia just let a 42% 3pt shooter have a line up three uncontested.
TBH Virginia has no Bench Depth so they have 2 58- overall players out there right now resting starters.
Freshman 4 ⭐️ PG Terrance Caton Miami Native was getting aggressively pursued by FSU, Florida, & Miami.
Natural athlete, 6’3 177lbs came in as a 79 overall he’s got game.
Anyway, we managed to get him to stay home Yay! Going into the season I had a preseason Tournament Palm Tree Classic or something like that.
Beat Loyola ez..
Beat Drexel Ez..
#4 Florida 👀 (you know you gotta play that)
Great finish to the half with this 3pt shot by Caton against Florida
I love how hyped the crowd gets when it’s a close game & each possession is leading closer and closer to a truly epic finish.
Playing #1 Carolina with 2009 rosters (+1 year) Tyler Zeller and Dexter Strickland are owning this game against my #25 ranked Miami Hurricanes.
But we’re staying close (within 6 pts)
Just loved this moment for the Jr, Guard Grant to get that 3pt shot to go down and relish in the moment while the crowd is going nuts haha
I always try and roleplay that my assistant coach is writing the halftime advice down for me to review at halftime and this one got me haha
This one “Tip” tonight;
“R. Johnson’s legs are dead, give him a little rest”
Me: R.Johnson? The 12th man on the bench??
Check his stats, he got 2 minutes in the last 2 minutes of the game and apparently crashed out to my assistant coach before coming into halftime lol
Does anyone else check the notes at halftime? Or just a me thing.
Teams just lose their uniforms, it’s like their equipment team forgot them, so they had to use some from the arena lol
Gotta respect that kind of play, nice chemistry from Tennessee
I’ve just had one of those kinds of College Hoops nights where you get several strange plays 😂
