does anyone know a good editing software that's free and exports at 1080p

the editing software I'm currently using is lightworks and I have for like 4 years and I've decided to change because my videos only export at 720p max unless I pay a monthly subscription

Looking for someone to do a simple video edit for my college project

I'm looking for someone who can help me edit a video for my college project. We recorded some videos during our field visit, but I don't know how to edit them.

The work is very simple—just trim the clips, arrange them, and add basic transitions. Nothing complicated.

Our submission is on Monday. If anyone is interested and can help, please DM me.

Looking for an Editor

I am possibly going to work my way into YouTube and maybe even streaming if the time calls for it. With that being said I work a lot and want to find an editor who is relatively budget friendly/skilled.

I do not know the game's I will be playing yet. If I were to select a couple it would be chill indie games and Minecraft. Generally solo player games.

A couple things I do not want:

-Ai usage

-Over Saturated (over use of memes and filler)

That is pretty much it. Just DM and if you have a portfolio that would be great.

crazy iitians building a crazy startup, need a crazy editor

As the title says.

Need an editor who wants to transform their skills into building something real.

Currently the team can handle tech and everything but no editing 🥀

(we have no money to offer you, most of us are in college trying to build on this brilliant idea we have, what you will get is the opportunity to build something real and something very ambitious) If you got that kinda hunger then dm. Will explain every doubt and about the startup in dm.

Looking For 2 Short-Form Video Editors for a Streamer/Music Artist ($850 Budget | Weekly Pay)

Hey everyone,

I am looking to hire two dedicated short-form video editors to work for a creator who is both a live streamer and a music artist.

We have an $850 budget for this project and we are splitting the work into two distinct roles. Each editor will be responsible for creating 2 videos per day. You will be paid every week, right at the start of the week.

The Roles:

Editor 1: Long-Form to Short-Form Clipper

You will be taking long-form YouTube videos and livestream VODs, finding the most entertaining/best moments, and clipping them into engaging short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Editor 2: Music & Vibe Editor

You will be taking the artist’s music snippets and creating edits using either stream footage or sourced content from the internet. Unlike the standard stream clips, the primary focus of these videos must be the track/song itself, ensuring the visual edit serves to highlight and push the music rather than just being a funny visual moment.

The Requirements:

-Must be able to reliably produce and deliver 2 videos per day.

-Familiarity with editing for TikTok, IG Reels, and short-form pacing.

-Good communication and consistency.

Pay & Budget: $850

Payouts: You will be paid weekly at the beginning of every week.

How to Apply:

If you are interested in either of these roles, please send over your resume/portfolio and fill out the application form here: https://tally.so/r/Me6LJE

Looking for a 6 months motion graphics course recommendations

Hello, i'm asking this for a friend so if i seem to be lacking info in this field, i'm sorry in advance. He's a self taught editor, uses da Vinci resolve, currently learning motion graphics online via some self tutoring.

He's a drop out and doesn't hold any degree in this field, though he knows a lot, and has recently been struggling to get good clients or placements cuz almost anywhere he applies for asks him for a degree certificate.

So he is specifically looking for a 6 months motion graphics 'certificate course' that is reasonably priced for what they offer and has good industrial connections or to help him land better placements/ clients.

If you have personnel experience with any of the institutes, do let me know.

He doesn't have a preference: online/offline/indian/global any would do just the degree should be worth his time and help him attract better clients.

Looking for a Gaming Editor

Hey everyone!
I’m looking for a reliable editor to help create short-form content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
A little about me:
📈 1,500+ followers on TikTok
▶️ 900+ subscribers on YouTube
🎮 50+ followers on Twitch
Pay:
💰 $10–$20 per edit (depending on complexity)
🚀 If a video reaches 5,000+ views, I’ll pay an additional performance bonus.
I’m looking for someone who understands fast-paced, engaging edits with captions, sound effects, and memes when they fit the content. If you’ve edited gaming or creator content before, that’s a huge plus.
If you’re interested, send me a DM

Looking to Hire a Fortnite Clip Farmer

I'm looking to pay someone to clip farm Fortnite content for me. Mainly pro players, funny moments, insane plays, new tech, rare moments, etc. ( Most of these can be found on Twitch Clips, ETC )

The clips don't need to be edited just find and send me quality moments. If you already know where to find good clips, that's a huge plus.

P.S. Sorry if my Reddit account is new. I just started using Reddit for work.

If you're interested, just send me a DM. I'm not very familiar with Reddit yet, so it's easier if you message me first, and we can discuss pricing and the details.

[HIRING] Personal Brand – looking for an editor with a brain

Hey, I'll keep this real.

I'm building a personal brand around my own story: a Belgian entrepreneur who got wiped out by a bankruptcy by getting scammed by my dad, left everything behind, and is now rebuilding from zero in Romania. Fitness, combat sports, cars, business but the spine is the comeback.
That's the arc every clip feeds: fall, rebuild, prove it. I'm not after a button-pusher. I want someone who watches a piece of footage and gets where it sits in that story where the tension is, where the hook lives, what to cut so it lands. An editor with a brain. Hence the title.

What I've got: a deep well of raw content, and more every week. Talking-head + actually doing the stuff (VLOGS), training, gambling and kickboxing footage, a motorcycle and a car build, plus behind-the-scenes of the rebuild. Plenty to clip, repurpose, and turn into a consistent Reels/Shorts pipeline. I don't need someone to hunt for footage — I need someone to make it hit.

The work:

  • Short-form: Reels / TikTok / Shorts, 9:16
  • ~3 videos/week to start, ongoing and growing for the right person
  • Hook-first edits, clean synced captions, tight pacing, B-roll used with intent
  • Togi style video's.

Pay: this is paid, ongoing work, not exposure, not "for the portfolio." [drop your price here e.g. €X per reel]. I'll start with one paid test edit so we both know it's a fit before committing.

Interested? Drop 2–3 of your best talking-head / short-form edits and one line on which creators' editing you take from.

Should I Buy Adobe Premier Plan?

I've been looking at the features, and it seems pretty useful, but not sure if I want to bite the bullet and buy it. However, I do think that I need to level up my game, so tips are appreciated.

What I do: Been making shorts and longs as a hobby, also make music videos as a hobby. I don't intend to pursue this full time, but I also want to do the best job I can do and streamline my process to save time. Plus I'm optimistic I'll see slow growth into decent channel success over time.

What I've been doing: Shotcut (free SW). It's actually pretty decent, but it's very manual.

My goal: Make editing easier/faster. Specifically, >50% of my editing time on shorts is in typing out subs myself, so really what I'm investigating is a SW/AI that can take care of that part for me.

Budget: tbh I can afford it without much concern ($22/mo), but I still prefer to save as much as possible just as a general principle. If the only advantage over Shotcut is subtitling, I wonder if there are cheaper services out there that only do captions that I can use?

I'm def not a skilled editor and mostly do the bare minimum. Not trying to make blockbuster films, even my music videos are mostly play-alongs that I manually sync my playthrough to my music. I'm not against learning better editing, I try to pick things up, but it's really a time issue. So it's time for me to pay to save my time.

Thanks!
