A good few episodes back (I’m rarely current because of factors) Elis was gushing about something really interesting about French Rugby League, and John would shoot it down as that being an oxymoron or something. It really piqued my interest though, how can something as obscure as FRL capture the interest of a man who by his own admission doesn’t even follow Welsh Rugby Union. Has Elis expanded on this on his other podcasts, it seems ripe for distant pod but I don’t always listen to that. Has he discussed what was so interesting elsewhere?

I'm flabbergasted that it took so long for Welsh rugby players to get paid. Who was trousering the money, and how were they getting away with it? Surely there must already be an investigative documentary/book/podcast on this? If not, is Elis the man for the job? I have zero interest in sport generally, but this sounds like a potentially brilliant story.

In a recent episode John recommended an artist whose name he couldn’t fully pronounce, i wanted to check it out but have forgotten to write it down and now can’t find it. Anyone remember who he was talking about?

I don't know why Sandy Lyle is Elis's go-to golfer to reference, but it makes me laugh every time.

I am always astounded by the jingles that PCDs send in, but Matt - who put together a full album of MUG jingles - went above and beyond. Some crackers in there and a real labour of love, I hope.
