Hello everyone, I am a 19yo CC student desperately looking for a part time job. I have good availability and transportation means, and experience working with cash registers, customers, stocking items, etc but I am also able to learn about anything else. I applied to a lot of places like Chipotle, Ralphs, and more but I keep getting rejected… Is there anyone able to help? I feel so defeated and frustrated because I’ve been wanting to save up for a car for months now, but no matter who I call it seems positions are always full or they’re just not hiring 😔

The Escondido City Council has unanimously approved a ground lease that could allow Costco to redevelop the former Sears site at the North County Mall.
The vote does not approve the actual development project, but it gives Costco a pathway to secure site control and begin environmental reviews, traffic studies and the city's entitlement process.
City officials estimate the retailer could generate more than $2 million annually in sales tax revenue and create more than 300 jobs. They also believe increased customer traffic could benefit other businesses throughout the mall.
Several council members expressed enthusiasm about the project, though some questioned whether the city negotiated sufficient lease revenue.
The proposal remains subject to future approvals by the Planning Commission and the City Council before construction can begin.

I just read the staff bios for the city council members and holy freaking shit, I did not realize what a conservative town I lived in. Everyone but Miss Martinez who isn't seeking re-election btw :( ...is a freaking cop or a pastor or a maga freak. I'm pretty sure the two pastors used AI for their bios. Miss Martinez is the only one that lived here her whole life practically. What a scary future.
