My bf is struggling getting picked up for a job, he’s been applying for dozens in the past 3 months and received little to nothing back.

Any decent paying jobs or application advice for a 19 year old with little fast food experience, high school diploma and no car. He can walk, he’s doesn’t mind, depending on how far. He’s willing to do anything from blue collar to office job to fast food etc.

We saw it smoldering and my husband was trying to stomp it out and I realized it was taking too long. Your half smoked cigarette made about a 4 inch scorched circle. Don’t worry I had a water bottle. ☠️🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll be relocating to Washington for a job located in Everett. Looking for affordable school districts that have high support for kids with autism. My 6 year old is non-speaking, and currently in a self contained class in our current state. Is Everett recommended? If not, what city or district would you recommend? Specific elementary school recommendations would be really helpful.

I hear good things about Bellevue, but the housing costs seem to be higher than surrounding cities. Any slightly more affordable recommendations?

Anyone in here know what happened with the pink palace on Beverly and why it's still vacant? It looked like after it closed it was going to become something else. And now its just been vacant for years. It was such a cool building.

My dog and I were standing on Grand outside of the Co-op waiting for my wife Sunday morning, and this guy (white, maybe late 30s) walked by and asked if he could pet my dog. He seemed harmless so I let him say hello, and the guy thanked me.

I thought that was it, but before he walked away, he said that he was a rapper and asked if he could rap for me. I admit that I was a little closed off at first but was like “yeah sure” and picked up my dog as he began. He launched into probably like 24 bars of rapping about his family before rapping about how he met his best friend with honestly impressive flow.

I said that was fantastic and asked him who the end was about. Without missing a beat, he said “it’s you.”

Then he fist bumped me and walked away.

So many bad interactions on here but I wanted to share a good one. I never even asked for his Insta.

Just wondering if any one knew of a good place to sell my hardware tools? Milwaukee, DeWalt, all barely used so I’d prefer not to go the pawn shop option, my son didn’t use them too much before he’d passed, so I’d like to get his moneys worth or at least have them go to a good home

First time at this airport. Nearly didn't get on my flight to San Francisco with my _valid US passport_ .

So later today I'm flying on to El Salvador. I already had the boarding pass to fly to El Salvador (on Avianca), I only needed the Alaska one for San Francisco. Lady at the Alaska counter told me they couldn't check me in for my flight to San Francisco because I didn't have proof of return travel from El Salvador (???). I was so confused, because El Salvador does _not_ require proof of return travel to enter, and never has. What's more, I have a Salvadoran foreigner resident card issued by the Salvadoran Govt. The lady kept insisting it wasn't valid, and she couldn't accept it as proof of residency, despite the fact that it's literally the only proof of residency that exists. She pointed to the issue date and said 'see, it's expired.' I pointed out the date right below that: the expiry date. She peered at the second date and smugly announced that it was still expired. The expiry date is in August. It's May. SHE WAS READING THE MONTH AND DAY BACKWARDS. I mean..... Cmon, even BARTENDERS know that any other country in the world uses day/month/year. How can someone who works in an airport not know that? I was gobsmacked. Made in on the flight but didn't get to eat before, which is hard on me as a very pregnant lady at this moment.

Does anyone have recommendations on job opportunities? I have experience in management and admin/healthcare optometry. I have an orientation at the local union for an apprenticeship, I am the main breadwinner in my family and I know it can be not consistent work. I’m concerned about that, I’m leaving my optometry job, but there is no growth opportunity where I’m at. I am ambitious and curious and a hard worker be job market is so poor right now. I want to get into a trade, but me being the main breadwinner it’s hard for me to just not be making an income to go to school. I am a female, so I hope work will be consistent at the union, but as far as I’m concerned right now I’m afraid to take the leap because of inconsistency concerns

shelters are full, and idk what to do. I have no money, she has no money.

She cant get ahold of ppl who are paid to help her, and Im getting overwhelmed

Hey all. I need to see somebody about my nighttime teeth clenching. I was wondering if anybody has had a good experience with any local practice that specializes in TMJ. I’ve cracked a couple teeth. I wear a night guard it hasn’t prevented that. For some reason my normal dentist and endodontist don’t really seem to be interested in helping me solve the cause of the problem, just fixing more broken teeth. i’ve given up on getting a good recommendation from either of them. Leery of places with banners outside talking about TMJ cause they feel scammy. I would appreciate any leads anyone might have. Thx!
