Banned for 3rd party software despite not using any
I played EQ back in like 2000-2004 and then started playing again earlier this year after CS helped locate my old account. I took advantage of the free 115 heroic during the anniversary event in March 2026 and paid for 3 accounts. I let 2 lapse to free and kept paying on my original account.
I played all 3 on the same computer from the same EQ directory and just click between windows or alt tab. I had played them together for about 2 months (mostly doing ToV merc/partisan and then some ToL) and then randomly couldn't log into one of the accounts & saw an email that I had been banned for 3rd party software.
I've never used or downloaded any cheating tools so it's impossible for them to have "detected" any. Since I play all 3 accounts on the same computer, if I had cheats on my computer why wouldn't all 3 accounts be banned?
The only thing that I can think of is that I left the account mostly AFK in Barren Coast for several days to try and farm sunshard ore. There's a camp of pirates that auto agro and my pet easily killed. Every once in a while I'd move a bit to agro some others nearby or do a quick loop to kill everything around. I don't know if that somehow looked like bot behavior and Daybreak just tagged it as 3rd party software as the excuse in the email? I wouldn't think what I was doing was uniform enough to look like a bot, but I also have no idea how sophisticated the cheat tools are.
I basically stopped playing my other accounts (still log in for overseer on my main account), but I don't want to put any more time or effort in if I'll just get banned for nothing some day in the future.
None of this makes any sense, but Customer Service has not responded to any of my questions and its going on 2 weeks since it happened. Has anyone had this happen &/or have any ideas on how to proceed?
