Emporium

I have done one sailing on Explora and will be going again in October.

I know this may shock some people but I don't love the Emporium, especially for dinner. I find it to be too busy and the seating feeling too close to the activity for it to be relaxing. I did use it a few times at mid-day but never warmed up to it for dinner. I hate having to get up multiple times to get different thing.

Any secret place where it feels quieter? I found the outside seating to be the best.

Currently on Explora III. Ask me your questions! 🍾🍾🥂I’m having an amazing time. The staff if fantastic and the food has been executed flawlessly. Amazed you can’t get into the Rolex shop unless you book as soon as you board.

I have Learned to love Explora Journeys--You Can Ask Me Anything!

I am 69 years old, been on 44+ cruises, over 46 years. In retirement, my adult children have taught me to use social media. I do cruise blogs on other sites based on my actual experiences. I have also done videos on Explora Journeys on other sites. In retirement, I have some quality time available. I have stayed in the least and most expensive cabins on 9 different cruise brands. I used to love huge ships with all its activities, I have taken my children on cruises when they were young, and now my tastes as well as needs have changed. I prefer better food, accommodations, with a smaller ship that has more of an all-inclusive feel. Personalized service is now important to me. I found Explora Journeys three years ago. I studied it before I booked it because quite frankly, it was more expensive than some other brands. Happy to answer questions but know, if I don't know the answer, I will suggest where or how to find it out. Social Media is not my thing, cruising is. At this stage in my life, I love helping people. That is my only motivation. Please be kind with your questions and responses.

Currently On E1. The amount of ill behaved children is insane.

I love children, but the kids on this ship right now, are absolutely intolerable. Running in the halls of my floor, yelling, screaming , jumping around in the the lounges, the parents ate absolutely worthless, and I didn’t come on this beautiful cruise to hear screaming kids, not babies, the babies aren’t the problem its the kids. I thoroughly enjoyed this ship, but the parents allow the behavior and the nannies don’t help. For the enjoyment of all guests, I think it’s absolutely rude to guests who - like myself came to enjoy allow this behavior. Maybe it’s a european attitude? And I wasn’t the only person who felt this way, it was talked about everywhere. I never said anything, I’ll keep that for my survey. Ship is absolutely beautiful, service impeccable, food amazing. Bratty entitled kids- Go to carnival or Disney. This is not a kid ship. I’m done venting.

Newbie looking at Explora Mediterranean

Retired dude with significant other still working so want to take a buddy and do a Mediterranean cruise. We are both slightly introverted but love history. Everything looks good so far with most boxes checked (price okay, small size, mostly adults, no loud music/casino). Am I missing anything?

E3 Kids Club

Anyone on E3 and able to take a pic of the new kids club for younger kids, or point me to one? Having trouble finding full details online other than one preview pic. Considering going with my toddler (2.5), and while I know she can't do the formal activities, would just love a kid-dedicated space to hang with her early mornings and let her run around a bit. We know this isn't a kid focused cruise and we're not expecting sitting or entertainment for her as she'd be joining a larger group of adults (we've done Disney with her, and yes, they are magic for kids, less so for the parents aside from the fact it is amazing for the kids). She is a well traveled and pretty chill kiddo for a toddler, and it would be a lower key journey to more scenic ports where we'd likely take her to playgrounds over long tours - we did this for an Alaska cruise and it worked quite well.
