hello peeps! i have this problem wherein i could see everyone's active status except my girlfriend's account. does anyone have the same experience or related issue? we enabled our active status and couldn't find any solution to fix it, it's a big thing for the both of us. i hope you help, guys. thanks!

If you got restricted someone, is there any ways you can do on your end to get unrestricted without contacting them?
Baka meron same scenario nangyari like mine this morning lang. Nagulat ako ginising ako ng hubby ko anu daw yung sinend ko. Turns out na hack fb ko without any notice and na bypass two step authentication kaya dali dali kami nagpalit lahat ng need palitan.
First 4 pics are the pics sent by the hacker. Yung screenshot is paliwanag ni META about the images.
After setting up a PIN for Messenger’s encrypted chat backup, it started backing up around 20,000 items from my old phone.
For two full days, it made zero progress while the screen was off. For about one full day, I even left Messenger on the “Backing up chats” page before turning the screen off, but it still did not move at all.
The backup only started progressing when I kept that exact page visible and prevented the phone screen from turning off. Once I did that, it advanced steadily at around 10 items every two minutes and reached about 10% after six hours.
At the same time, more of my old messages started appearing on my new phone, so this is not just a meaningless counter. The backup is actually uploading restorable chat history.
This seems like a serious Messenger bug. A backup should continue with the screen off and should not require someone to keep a static page open for several days. It is also extremely slow for a chat-history backup. People could easily reset, repair, or replace their old phone while believing their messages are already backed up, and then lose part of their history.
Has anyone else experienced this exact behavior—zero progress with the screen off, but steady progress only when the “Backing up chats” page stays open and the screen remains on?
Messenger isn’t loading conversations. I’ve restarted my iPhone and updated the app and it still just a blank screen when I try to look at a conversation. Idk what else to do.

Latest Messenger app as of today.
Deleted app, offloading the app, rebooting.
Everything "standard" when trying to reset an app.
I can send images to other people within the app and from the web version of messenger I can send images to the group chat not working on the phone.
It's just on the iPhone that I can't send images to this specific group.
If I post an image, and go back to the list of chats, i see that my message has the status "sending".
I can't see my images in the web version, and after reinstall, I can't see the images I tried to post (as expected as they seem to be in some sort of boken state not sent to backend).
If it mathers, it's just a messanger account, not a Facebook one.
Anyone experienced this?
I currently use Messenger on my PC via the Brave browser, which still holds my entire chat history. However, after switching to a new phone, I am completely locked out of my messages. Whenever I try to enter my secure storage PIN on the mobile app, it constantly displays a 'Something went wrong' error and refuses to restore my chats. I'm really stressed about losing my conversations, and because my browser is experiencing script errors when trying to create a new backup key, I'm stuck in a loop trying to safely sync the deep history from my PC over to my new phone. Is there a way to fix this?
So i decided to take a break from facebook and deactivated the application from my mobile phone, whilst doing so i selected to retain access to messenger, but when i try log into messenger i get the following error: "unable to login - an unexpected error occurred. please try logging in again. I can however browse on my phones browser to the desktop version of the app rather than the m.version and log in successfully, so it's not a credential issue, but each time i install messenger, it has cached my previous login, but i've cleared every instance i can find.
What i've tried so far:
Re-install the application
Reboot the phone
Remove links between instagram/meta/facebook through the meta centre and each app respectfully.
Gone to apple account > sign in with apple and removed users there
Tried to use the remove my account function from messenger directly
Confirmed no built in password vault has cached my password/login
successfully logged into messenger whilst using the desktop client version on a web browser on my phone as m.version gets the same error
raised it VIA apple support (no avail, they just said to log as a bug)
confirmed IOS and messenger are on the latest versions
What i plan to try:
Re-install the native facebook app on IOS and deactivate it through there, rather than using messenger (F) button to load up facebook and do it that way.
Would appreciate any additional thoughts.
Has anyone experienced this Facebook friend request bug?
I'm having a strange issue with my Facebook account.
When I send someone a friend request, it shows "Friend Request Sent" on my side, but the other person usually doesn't receive any notification. In some cases, the request doesn't even appear in their Friend Requests list.
However, if they manually visit my profile, they can see the "Accept" button and accept the request normally.
I've tested this with multiple accounts, including a separate test account. It happens both in the Facebook app and on the Facebook website. My Account Quality page shows no violations or restrictions.
Has anyone else experienced this? Were you able to fix it, or did it eventually resolve on its own? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Disappearing messages both phones without mutual agree to it is a major safety and workplace risk regarding the Disappearing Messages feature.
While I understand the "Delete for Everyone" feature has a short time limit for accidental texts, the "Disappearing Messages" timer is being used by bad actors to hide their tracks.
When someone sends an abusive or manipulative message, they use disappearing messages so the recipient sees the threat or instruction, but can no longer prove it a few hours or days later. It is an invasion of my privacy for another user to have the power to erase data on my device.
For work accountability and personal safety, users need to be able to protect their own chat history. Please change this feature so that disappearing messages only apply to the person who turned the setting on for their own device. Do not let senders erase evidence of harassment or business commitments on the receiver's phone.
IS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM???!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT HAPPENS ON ALL CHATS ON THE MESSENGER APP IN ANDROID. IT STILL SHOWS THE NUMBER OF MESSAGES THAT CONTAIN THE WORD I SEARCHED, BUT EVEN AFTER WAITING FOR 30 MINUTES, MESSENGER IS STILL STUCK ON THE LOOP!!!!!!!! I ALREADY REPORTED THE BUG! I DELETED THE CACHE, UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED, AND RESTARTED MY PHONE, AND THE PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVEDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR ME BECAUSE I NEED TO VIEW AN OLD MESSAGE IN 2022 THAT I NEED FOR MY WORK!!!!

Does anyone know why it would have said I changed keys in a messenger conversation when I didn't change devices and neither did the other person? He's very suspicious of technology so I'm trying to find a reason it would have happened and hopefully it's nothing bad.

My Facebook Messenger started acting up a few days ago, and then I was prompted to verify my identity with a selfie. I completed the verification twice, but the AI failed to recognize me both times—even though I was using current photos of myself.
As a result, my Messenger account has now been suspended for 28 days.
The notification says I violated the Community Standards, but it doesn't tell me what message supposedly triggered the suspension. I genuinely can't think of anything I've sent that would violate the rules.
To make matters worse, there doesn't appear to be any way to appeal the decision or speak with a real person.
Has anyone else experienced this? Were you able to get your account restored, or did you have to wait out the full 30-day suspension?

I have been buying off of Facebook Marketplace for a year or more. Have probably completed two dozen transactions, give or take. I usually thank the seller via Marketplace chat/Messenger and rate them well if it went well. But just in last...ummm...maybe 1-2 weeks I noticed I was getting no responses, even for items that clearly had been on offer for several days/weeks. This has happened about 10 times now over two weeks so it is ot a sngle abberation.
Question: does Facebook algorityhm shadow ban accounts on Marketplace? Is there any way I can check or confirm if so? If not, what accounts for the issue and/or what can I do?
