Help with dev process

Hi - I shot these on Pentax K1000 with Ilford HP5. Recently bought the camera off of FB marketplace, and also first time developing at home with Kodak products (Dev: Kodak Professional HC-110, Fixer: Kodak Professional Rapid Fixer ONLY PART A, water wash, Wetting Agent: Photo-Flo 200). Here was my process --

Dev: 1:3 solution, timer 5 mins, agitate first minute continuously, and then 10 seconds at the top of each minute

Fix: 1:3 solution, timer 5 mins, agitate first minute continuously, and then 10 seconds at the top of each minute

Water Wash: Ilford method.. add water, agitate 5x, dump, add water, agitate 10x, dump, add water, agitate 20x, dump

Wetting Agent: 1.5 ml of photo flo to 300 ml of water, agitate 30 seconds

Dry + scan with Canon EOS 2000D

I really don't love how it came out, and I'm not sure if the issue is how I shot it (I am admittedly learning how to operate in manual and this was the first time I used the pentax k1000 with BW film), an error with my developing process, or if I just need to figure out how to use lightroom. Looks like there's random spots / lines / scratches but would really really appreciate any insight. I am new to this so please be nice!

Advice on Disposable camera development!

Long story bearable

I lost my brother back in 2017 ..a lot has happened from then to now and unfortunately in that time ive lost just about everything related to my brother except a few things.. My late brother was a world traveler in his days and had some awesome adventures ..what I haven't lost could be the most valuable....I've been holding on to about 4 disposal cameras that were my brothers ..that have never been developed ..no clue what they could be ...I've tried my very best to keep them in a dark cool place hoping the film is somewhat salvageable after all these years ...the advice I'm asking for is what's the best way to go about developing these bad boys ..keeping price in mind and the best way to receive and hopefully preserve these memories that have been lost to time ..? Any advice is /would be super helpful thanks for reading!

Blotches on edge of 120 film

Hi! This is only my 2nd C41 roll I've developed, the first was a 35mm roll and it went perfectly. Using Cinestill's C41 kit and a Patterson tank.

On this roll, I noticed on one of the first negatives I scanned that there is a slight blotch on the left-hand side of the frame. When turned positive, it appears bluish. I also noticed a similar (but fainter) effect on the second frame.

Attached a photo of the negative and positive, also confirmed visually the same blotch is on the actual negative (just looking at it in my hands).

Any thoughts as to what might cause this? loading issue? bubbles during development?

Merging 35mm scans

Hi guys. So i've been developing and scanning my own B&W for some months now. I do it with a DSLR on a light pad with a piece of glass to keep it flat, and macro extension tubes. The camera is a 12MP Sony A700 (all i have). But i recently saw this trick of taking multiple pictures closer in on the negative, and then merging them in LightRoom for a "higher megapixel scan". I tried to google about it but can't really find anything. So i was curious if any of you is doing this or is familiar with the method and, if its worth it. I was thinking of splitting my scan with a 2 photo/per exposure frame of the negative and then merge them for a possible way better scan? What do you think? Thanks!

Why is my film so bright??

I just got my film developed for the first time through Walmart, and almost all of my photos are super over exposed and bright. I use an Olympus Stylus Zoom 140, and Kodak Gold film. Are these photos a result of sunlight exposure to my film, or are there settings I can tweak on my camera? I’d like some advice if there’s anyone who has any!
