Corrupted file, and how to get it back?

I've used this program for almost a decade with no problems whatsoever. Today is the day I experience my first ever corrupted file in my life and I'm so bummed out because I worked hard on this project :( I made the mistake of not saving it manually as I typically do, I've felt secure enough to trust autosave backup because again, I've never experienced this ever. All my files have been completely safe and fine, but this is a first.

This is what I see when I try opening the file via the autosave backup folder. So far, I tried restarting my device (laptop/tablet combo, not sure if that needs to be specified), converted it to psd, used other programs... nothing. Is there truly a way to be able to recover this?

why is my speedpaint art looking so desaturated in firealpaca (original vs speedpaint pic)

my usual process is to turn the APNG to gif (i tried converting it to mp4 via Ezgif but ezgif cut off half of the speedpaint every time), then i upload to openshot to add music, then back into ezgif to crop the video because openshot leaves in some annoying black bars in vertical mode, then finally upload to tiktok/instagram.

is there a way to make it stop looking like this, like a good APNG to mp4 converter? i like looking at my colour choices during a speedpaint since i use vibrant colours but the gif conversion is killing the colours in my art.

[MDP File help] - Semi lost file

Hello there, I usually never come on here to ask for help, but this was my last resort. I am not sure where to properly get contact info since I can't find it. Anyway, I wanted to say that This is in regard to the original FA and not this version!

I had the files saved, but by mistake...had pressed CTRL+Z and then the files disappeared. I have done the troubleshooting myself and even went ahead and used Disk drill to fix the issue but to no luck. I was only able to retrieve the "Shortcuts" (As a window user)

But on my recycle bin, I can clearly see it right there and it says "Firealpaca document" but it won't let me get access to them because it says (path and file name incorrect/problem with shortcut)

and just to re-iterate, I had the files saved, but then I pressed CTRL+Z and they are no longer able to access.

(The image I uploaded shows that it says it's an MDP file, but it still won't let me open it)

If this has happened to anyone else, or perhaps someone knows a way to fix this problem, I would be extremely grateful!

Possible glitch?

I've been trying to shade smth using the airbrush on a multiply layer, it was working great but for some reason it has a complete fit when I try shading over the colour red, the multiply shader goes UNDERNEATH the colour layer and I have no idea what's causing it or how to fix it, I even updated the app to the latest version and that didn't fix it. Is this a known problem and if so does anyone know how to fix it? Any and all help is appreciated, thank you :)

Recommend drawing tablets that work well with Fire Alpaca?

Hey I’m fairly new to using drawing tablets but I used a Wacom (without a screen) in the past. Today I’m looking at getting one of the drawing tablets with a screen like a nice Huion or XP-Pen but I’m seeing mixed content about which ones are compatible with FireAlpaca. The list by FireAlpaca also hasn’t been updated since 2017. If you use a screened drawing tablet with fire alpaca what type do you use?

Shading for animation

Hey all! I'm working on a short animation and wanted some tips for shading. I've been using FireAlpaca for nearly 4 years now but only started shading my work recently (example provided on second slide) I do what could be considered "soft shading" with a airbrush tool but I'm not sure if it would work for animation, I was told by a friend an Overlay layer would work but I've never tried it (normally I shade by adding soft shadows of the same colour to smth then turn the brightness down later)

Any and all help/advice would be appreciated, thank you! :)
