i was on pc and opened messages on tiktok, and got a prompt that i can "level up my account". the results of levelling up the account seemed harmless (it didn't say i was upgrading to a business account) so i levelled up. i got access to a business suite immediately but when i check my account on mobile im still a personal account. how do i fix this? im not a business and i heard business accounts have to worry about music and copyrighted material more than usual. the only way i can even access this business suite is on PC via messages.

so in the end, with college i can't upload twice a day unless i want to burnout and fail college. im going to instead do videos 1-2 times a week where it's my best, fully rendered art as doodles are not helping me improve my art. my content could be me videoing my hand (i draw with my hand brace and my thumb so good "hook" content), "trust the process" videos and so on that are quick and short.

speedpaints are generic and overdone, so they could be reserved for the "drawing people's pets until i get my own" series as i like figuring out good music for each pet. i plan to get backstories for those pets moving forward for emotional weight. those videos can be doodles as doing fully rendered art that takes hours, for free, isn't a good idea, and they're quick to do in case i need a video for that week.

the art raffle was a BAD idea. only 2 people responded on the video (one was a blurry pic i can't use) and one friend responded on discord since they dont have tiktok. next time i'll make a raffle for milestones like 100 followers, 1k etc.

my fear was that i needed to upload often to grow but what i actually need is good hooks and better art! i uploaded today after a 2 day break with old art i hadn't posted yet and got 400 views. im glad that my view count is consistent considering i only have 8 followers lol.

my new goal now is to be a content creator but have fun doing it. edits, templates, trends, etc. but not to upload so often that i become miserable. im planning to use clipchamp for transitions and such in my videos to make them fun as well.

i've been running my art account for around a month now, posting consistently (around 1-2 times a day, this is fine as I had a lot of backlogged art and my art doodles are easy to draw) but i've been stuck at 6 followers for a while now. idk the typical growth for an art tiktok account so this could be normal.

anytime i upload videos they die at 400 views, even when i think the like ratio is good or the retention time is ok (i made a photo post with 20% retention, 3 pics, and a 10% like ratio last night and yet it died). im currently working on a multi part series to draw pets until i get my own which i thought was a fun idea, but the views are still a bit low on that and no one really follows to see more, or comments on the videos. i even made a free art raffle today and only one person replied and im tempted to just delete it out of shame :(

my conspiracy theory is that my location is bad. my stuff gets pushed to jamaicans when i dont want that to be the target audience as my art is more about silly cute pets. idk if jamaicans really vibe with that, compared to when i post my doodles under pet posts on reddit and get more upvotes because it's an american audience.

i know this isn't as severe as being suspended but it's still very annoying and concerning. i've been using the site for almost 2 months (web pc version) with no major reach anywhere despite posting every day. the moment i made a reply under a growing tweet 1 week ago i've been getting hundreds of likes on that tweet. great, right? but every time i opened the site i got flagged as a bot because of likes im getting naturally. now im starting to think it's affecting my growth because my own posts maybe get 1-2 likes at best.

it stopped a couple days ago and i figured it was over, but then i had the GALL to make another reply under a growing tweet. people are mass liking and reposting my tweet, and im back to twitter thinking im a bot again. im very close to abandoning posting on the site (probably for the best, i only joined to grow an art audience and it's not working) because it means that the moment i try to reply to people on art posts in the hopes one person follows me, i'll get labelled as a bot again.

now i wonder. is this constant bot flagging/suspicious activity making my account fail to grow with only 10 followers after so many weeks, or is my content just mid? was posting WIPs of my art every day my downfall?
