Progress

It's called Self Care is Important and the one on the left was the first thing I had drawn in what felt like a lifetime. I kept going and hope that you do, too.

2018-2026

16 years old before art school vs 24 years old after. This is the oldest photo of my art that I have. I don’t have any older art than this because it was lost in a house fire. Most recent art is a mix of digital and traditional. I think in 8 years I’ve improved a lot with anatomy and now I’m working on stylization :) girl in the snow is my most recent. I think I’m getting somewhere with finding my style finally

Keeping track of my progress over the years doing Redraws!

This is an original character I redraw every now and then to keep track of my progress. The drawing from 2017 is one of the first ones I did when I got my first drawing pad. For some reason I kept changing her style in the following redraws, I think my younger self was trying very hard to make her more interesting haha! This time I tried mixing all three designs together and this is what I got. I still feel I have a long way to go, so very tip is highly appreciated :)

My digital art progress over 4 years

The difference between 2025 and 2026 is the most interesting to me. I was clearly going for a more pastel color palette in 2025, and 2026 I shifted gears and went full bright colors.

Any criticisms or honest opinions are welcome. Tell me if I actually improved, Im still the same, or I somehow got worse. Whatever is fine! =)

A couple months of progress

I wanted to draw spiderman and I still want to draw spiderman, I'm far from perfect but I'm still happy with my progress this far

1 year of practice to improve my watercolor painting

Each month of last year I painted the same view of this rowing club - I thought it would show me how much my art would improve but it taught me that I already had an innate way of creating.

I thought some of you might enjoy this full image of them all together - I also wrote about the year-long challenge in a substack post if you fancy a read

The evolution of my character 2017–2026

Art of my character from oldest to newest. Which one do you like the most? At which stage do you see the biggest improvement?

after 100 days of drawing the last 5 days and the transition to a tablet feels like a leap ! , i added old drawings for refrence.

Scaramouche from 2023-2026

In a little bit of an art slump rn but hopefully looking back at all of the progress I’ve made over the past three years can help me feel a little bit better about it.

I think there’s a decent amount of improvement tbh
Crazy what art classes and actually sitting down to study anatomy and line weight will do for you

That said I think I need to go start at the basics to learn aboit color theory since I have yet to be taught or sit down to learn about it lmfao

7 Months Apart Redraw

I hated the heads on my first try (second photo) so so much, but now I think I've fixed it mostly? I feel like the pose is also less stiff (but still needs work), and I changed the head direction so your eyes follow where I want them to more.
