Hi, just wondering if anyone here has gone through the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service wholetime firefighter recruitment recently.

I got an email saying I’ll get access to ALICE on 12 October and have to answer two application questions by the 18th.

Has anyone done this part before and know roughly what sort of questions they ask? I’m not asking anyone to give me answers or anything like that, I’d just like to know what to expect.

Are they more about why you want to join SFRS, or are they competency type questions where you need to give examples from work, college or life?

Also, does anyone know if there’s a word limit, or if you can save your answers and come back to them before submitting?

I’m trying to prepare properly for it and would appreciate any advice from people who’ve already done this stage.

Thanks.

I'm an 18m and I was curious if serving in the RAF as a firefighter could help me transition to the LFB?
