What are your bets on the type of ending we’ll get in Canto X?

First. In Canto 1 we have obviously a bad ending. It’s the most obviously a negative out of all the Cantos. No psychological progress was made with Gregor and if anything he got even more traumatized. The Bough was stolen and LC gained nothing.

Next we have Canto 2. Little to no psychological process was made with Rodya but I wouldn’t say that she got anymore traumatized that she was already. We got the bough from the Baba Yaga and emerged with our first Bough. I would call this Neutral.

Now we 3. Sinclair confronts Kromer and clearly wants to overcome her but isn’t strong enough and has to be bailed out by his blue twink boyfriend. The Bough was gotten and a bit of progress was made. Neutral.

Now we have 4 and I don’t have to go in depth on this one. Obviously good. Bough was gotten and Yi Sang had tremendous psychological progress. Going from the most gloomy on the bus to one of the most outwardly happy.

Now we have 5. Ishamel overcame Ahab psychologically and physically, getting over her blind obsession with her old captain. We got the bough and got out with minor trouble. Good.

Here’s 6. Heathcliff talked with Cathy and finally communicated with Cathy but it still ended up with her being erased and a bough being burned out. Heathcliff made psychological progress in some way which I can’t tell is negative or positive. We still got a burned out bough. Bad.

Canto 7 had Don confront her family and stop living purely in a dream. She confronted reality and her father and came out better for it. There was a lot of crying but we got the bough and lot of psychological progress was made. Good.

Canto 8 is obviously good.

Canto 9 is kinda hard to pinpoint. Ryoshu confronts her family partially but ends making little progress due to the erasure of Araya in her memories. We didn’t get a bough, only retained the ones we had. I would say bad.
