The history of Spain’s kits is much stranger than just red and yellow

We were researching Spain’s national-team shirts and ended up going much deeper than expected.

The red shirt became so closely associated with the team that today we simply call them La Roja.

Yet Spain won two of the biggest games in its history wearing blue: the Euro 1964 final and the 2010 World Cup final.

Then there are the USA ’94 designs, the changing Spanish crest, the Adidas eras and the way political and historical changes influenced the symbols appearing on the shirt.

We tried to put the whole evolution together in one video, from the origins of Spain’s national colours to the current generation.

More importantly: which Spain kit do you think best represents the national team?

Home Yokohama F Marinos Jersey

Last month I watched FC Machida Zelvia v Yokohama F Marinos in Tokyo, I wanted both jerseys but I was sitting in the Machida crowd so I can only bought their jersey .

I wanted small size, it was sold out at Yokohama website and Adidas shop didn’t have it, but Kamo did! It is Asia “small”, so it fits like “extra small” in Europe, which is fine for me.

Adidas did a good job with the design, a nice shade of blue and they have done well with all the sponsors, it doesn’t look too busy.

The team are owned by City Football Group, hope they haven’t been doing any dodging financial deals… 👀

The shirt is real but what about the nameset?

The product code checks out but the seller claims that the nameset was applied in Spain I’m not sure if the nameset is real or not what do you think
