V3 Mono combo set - heat

I'm going to buy Fosi Audio v3 mono combo set with one 10A power supply and filter and put it on the table under the TV next to the Marantz SR7013 receiver and relieve it of the power supply of the front speakers. Now the receiver powers 9 AQ Wega mkiii speakers (2x55, 6x52 1x51). I don't feel that it would be necessary, but I just want to try if it will be an overall benefit.

After several days of studying all possible sources, I have come to several contradictory findings. They allegedly heat up in auto mode even without an input signal. I wouldn't like that. I would like both Fosi v3 mono to turn on when the receiver starts without any noise in the sensitive speakers and go to sleep with it after it is turned off. How is it in reality? Have you measured the blocks, the filter and the power supply with a thermometer or camera? With what conclusions?

After approximately how long without a signal do the blocks automatically turn off?

Which of the two versions (19-25 or 25-31 dB) is better for my application? I assume that 25 dB gain on RCA is absolutely ideal, so the version doesn't matter. Or maybe it is? If so, how?

If they normally lie freely next to each other without restrictions and without fan supported air flow, will they be so hot that you can't hold them with your hand, or even so much that they will leave marks on the table?

I came up with a solution to improve cooling without a fan. Place them in slightly raised cradles on their sides so that air flows by convection along the bottom, top and through the holes inside. If that's not enough, improve by gluing aluminum heat sinks to the bottom.

The internal flow will be greatly hindered by the fine grid in the holes. Can it be removed with impunity (ideally reversible)?

Can 8mm2 of flat wire be stuffed into the terminals? At least half (half to the left of the screw, half to the right, like I have in the Marantz)? I don't want to use thinner wire. I don't recommend banana plugs and forks unless they are certified to handle 8mm2.

Don't you think the wires to the jacks inside are thin? I haven't changed the wires in the speakers either and I know what's there. No need to ask. Sure, the amplifier's behavior is evident even with the wires it has inside, but after all, won't it be an unnecessarily weak point?

Does the indicator light indicate the operating status? So it goes off in auto mode when sensing no sugnal?

Thanks in advance for the constructive answers.

Fosi bt20a pro setup

Just bought the bt20a pro with micca mb42x g2 speakers and a powered Sub I had already. I love the sound but would like to hook up my tv and cd player. Also would like a remote and possible Bluetooth streamer since my phone stays connected which is inconvenient. Any advice for best budget options without compromising sound?

Problem EM6l + Fosi k5 pro dac, permanent buzz noise

Hello everyone,

I just bought a pair of Simgot EM6L IEMs and a Fosi K5 Pro DAC/amp, but I’m getting a constant buzz/white noise even when nothing is playing.

I tested a few things:

  • When I plug the EM6L directly into my PC motherboard jack, there is no noise
  • When I use the K5 Pro with my Sennheiser Momentum 4 (3.5mm cable), there is also no noise
  • The issue only happens with the EM6L + K5 Pro combo

It seems like the problem only appears when using very sensitive IEMs with this DAC/amp, which is frustrating because I bought it specifically for IEM use.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any fix, or is it just that this DAC isn’t suitable for sensitive IEMs? And if these IEMs are not suitable for the dac which DAC should i buy? (less than 100$)

Thanks in advance.

Got to mess with the Merak Fosi CD player recently

Recently just got this “Modern” CD player. This thing is actually pretty cool. I’m really into archiving my CDs and also ripping CDs onto DAPs and especially Minidisc. Pretty cool to see a cd player with a usb c port haha

Made a little review video about it.

Fosi C3 experience

Awhile ago I received a demo of the C3 AI enhanced gaming dac and amp from fosi audio and my experiences been pretty good with the almost month of use I got with it! I primarily used it for its main purpose which is gaming but I used it for music and some video editing too. First things first it has a UAC 1.0 and 2.0 but UAC 1.0 supports the AI features and the 7.1 surround audio rebuilding. The 7.1 is great for single player immersion and music but tends to have trouble with people mics in multiplayer games like it’s trying to decide which way their voice is coming from when in coms. The AI mode currently only supports a few games one being cs2 and I will say it is almost cheating at how it boosts all the right sound queues. UAC 1 mode does have a slight firmware bug sometimes but you can switch to UAC 2 for a bit and go back to 1 and it will work fine again. The dac does have a mic in and a background noise cancellation which I only use a bit since I use a desktop microphone but I do occasionally use it with my beyer dynamics mmx 150 or my Sennheiser |EPOS gsp 302 headset. The gsp is where the background cancellation really stands out since the mic on this headset is outstanding but can pick up noises very easily so the noise cancellation can make this Mic sound just as good as a professional. The build quality of the C3 is very impressive and doesn’t seem to be forgotten about or left in a bad state. The sliders are smooth and have dust covers inside the buttons are clicky but not loud however I have noticed the on button can get stuck if pressed to hard but can easily pop back out by pressing again. I have been on a streak with arc raiders lately and have had times where my teammates have said how did you hear that or how did you know that there were people there and every time I think “yeah I probably wouldn’t have heard that if I wasn’t using this” so I know for sure it dose in fact improve performance in games if you are playing and audio reliant game. That’s pretty much all I want to say at the moment because if I went into full detail this would be journal size and it’s already longer than it should be since short and to the point is my style. Thanks for reading!
