Cassettes being recorded and sounding quiet.

How do I fix this. Last few cassettes I’ve made up sound very quiet indeed. To enjoy them I’ve got to crank up the volume.
I have a Sony TC-WE435. Yamaha amp and usually record from records which sound loud compared to tapes. I have the record level set at 4 as I don’t want distortion and I don’t use auto recording level AML

Looking to swap mix tapes.

Feel free to look inside my Reddit at the tapes I’ve done. I’ve a couple to go out to people. I’ve a wide ranging taste in music and a fairly decent record and CD collections. Based in the UK too. Would love to swap tapes. DM me if you want to talk tapes. Let me know what you’re into music wise. Cheers

Delighted to get my Walkman serviced.

New belt too. Just waiting on a pair of Sony headphones from an eBay seller. This Walkman always had a decent sound.

So my mate on IG knows someone who wants to get into swapping tapes as well as him. He said this girl was into electronicy indie stuff and the 80s. So not having much bits and pieces I put this together. What do you think?
