Appearnce of a YouTube account on the Samsung TV

,  When i connected the Samsung Tv to the hotspot of my partner, and opend the YouTube on tv on the front page , after 30 sec , a YouTube account of her cousin has been suggested on the screen as recommended. Its came like from the back end of the TV and When i pressed the recommended account, directly opend without asking for the password!!  Its really awkward. This happened back in April 2025

I have tried to simulate what happened exactly and could not , because there is a step usually intervene that i need to click two step approval from my YouTube account on the mobile , and the profile preparation message appears on the tv.

Previously and when her cousin account appears i didn’t notice on the tv the step of the profile preparation.

Any explanations for this incident , and from where this account came up.

I Think Someone Is Using Youtube's Copyright Claim System to Harrass Me And Putting My Job In Danger

I won't be mentioning my channel for privacy reasons but almost exactly a year ago, I had a mountain of copyright removal requests be aimed at my channel from a Gmail account that, too the best of my knowledge, had no actual copyright claim on the videos. 3 Strikes and your channel gets taken down after a day period if you don't file a counter claim. (which they have 10 business days to respond to)

I consulted with a lawyer and ended up filing a counter notification which meant I was left unable to produce any content/ had a loss of income for almost an entire month.

The claimants never responded, the videos were restored and my channel was saved.

BUT HERE'S THE THING: Today, it happened again, and it's the exact same email account. I'm facing yet another month wondering if my channel will survive and having my Youtube income basically stall for a month, again. It feels like too much to be a coincidence. I am so frustrated and scared that this person will keep doing it in the future. I'm a small channel so I don't have a lot of resources but my channel is very important to me. I've tried reporting my concerns to Youtube in the hopes of highlighting the potential abuse of the copyright system.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why when clicking a youtube link to a video, it redirects (to another video or to a youtube page)?

I want this to stop, because I don't want to be mislead. I have an archive of YT links and I want them to point me to the original source. Also some of them open pages to... markets?!

This is happening even without browser addons

This one redirects from "Trip to Ireland" to "Floxytek & Dr Peacock - Boom"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIeKPbP67eQ

This one redirects from "Guala guala" to "JaYy Wick - All flats"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ6O9zInMGk

why??

What happened to YouTube? Has anyone else just stopped using it or deleted it entirely?

I feel like YouTube changed so much over the years that it barely feels enjoyable anymore. Everything feels optimized for retention instead of actual quality. Search results feel worse, recommendations get repetitive, thumbnails/titles are over exaggerated, and Shorts are starting to feel like every other endless scrolling app.
I miss when YouTube felt more personal and creative instead of constant algorithms, sponsors, reaction content, AI-generated videos, and creators chasing engagement. Even smaller channels feel pressured to follow the same formula now.
Lately I’ve found myself opening the app out of habit more than because I actually want to watch something. Sometimes after scrolling for 20 minutes I realize I didn’t even enjoy any of it.
They don’t even try with the ads anymore either. Half of them feel like AI slop, fake podcasts, scam courses, or weird mobile game ads. It makes the whole site feel cheap.
Has anyone here actually deleted YouTube or stopped using it regularly? What do u use instead?
Curious if other people feel the same way or if I’m just burned out on internet content in general

YouTube is making me it’s Bitch

Okay so who in the world knows how to avoid a damn copywrite strike because this is getting so annoying.

I used to make sooo many AMVs back in the day with no problem, now it keeps getting flagged no matter how I edit the music. (I did look it up and it said it could be avoided by not using the whole entire song).

I’m just tryna make some fire ass sailor guardian amvs and YouTube keeps fucking me in the ass sideways. I did turn off monetization so it’s not like I’m even going to be profiting from this.. it’s just for fun and YouTube needs to learn that LMAO

I know this isn’t the most important thing on this subreddit but if anyone can help me find a loophole I’d really appreciate it

thank you internet strangers

What is this??

It keeps popping up while on YouTube. The only way to get rid of it is if I click on either Allow or Don’t Allow. It even blocks the way if I try to completely turn off my phone.

Anyone else noticed YouTube instantly rejecting Fair Use counter-claims lately?

Whenever I used to get a copyright strike on YouTube, I would always counter-notify it under fair use. However, this time it was instantly rejected, even though the clip that triggered the strike is less than 2 seconds long.

I’m curious, are any of you experiencing similar issues lately?

Youtube is burying my videos - why?

A tiny bit of context: I'm an Italian writer and illustrator and I started a world-building project including painting timelapses and narrated lore. The name of my channel is "drasylofficial", for reference.

https://www.youtube.com/@drasylofficial

My first video, a narrated timelapse of a creature/character design got 1,2k views about a 120 likes and very positive engagement comment wise. I guess it was boosted by the algorythm being my first video, but anyway. From then on I got progressively diminishing returns but always within hundreds of views.

Since I had many things to figure out and many more things to create for both Youtube, Tiktok and the project proper I took a long pause from YT and I published again after 5 months.

The new two videos I have on, and a third one I made private cause I thought the algorythm had bugged somehow, struggle to reach 50 views. I also noticed that they tend to get 1 view per hour, literally.

What the heck is going on? Am I doing something wrong or is the algorythm this damn aweful?

As if it wasn't hard enough being an artist in this economy, honestly...

YouTube ads

So many YouTube ads are such rubbish. They are clearly selling products that are too good to be true, misleading and simply malicious. Global satellite consortium selling FREE satellite data with 10G technology, SERIOUSLY? Why doesn’t Ofcom sue Google for this consumer harm??

A video has been removed from my channel, and It's for a questionable reason

(DISCLAIMER: I have put the "link/video" tag because I don't really know what to put in this context)

Hello everyone, allow me to tell you what happened a few days ago in my YouTube channel since its the first time it happens.

For the first time in 10 years, YouTube removed a video from my channel saying:

"We believe your content does not comply with the following policy: Violent Criminal Organizations Policy.

Content that incites others to commit certain violent acts, glorifies violence, supports violent organizations, or depicts hostages with the intent to promote such behavior, threaten, or intimidate is not allowed on YouTube. We review educational, documentary, artistic, and scientific content on a case-by-case basis. Exceptions are made in limited cases when appropriate and sufficient context is provided and the purpose of the content is clear."

The video that has been removed, though, it's a gameplay from a video game called "Slendytubbies 3" in a mode called "Survival" similar to CoD Zombie where the map is a possessed school and the final boss is a girl possessed by an evil teletubby.

I obviously sent a feedback for a human revision because, even though I understand that we're talking about shootings in a school, It's a indie not even closely realistic video game of evil teletubbies, and after a few hours I get this Email from YouTube:

"We've reviewed Slendytubbies III Survival | Possessed School and confirm that it doesn't comply with our violent criminal organizations policy. We understand this may cause you some inconvenience, but it's our responsibility to ensure YouTube remains a safe place for everyone."

Now, even though I'm a bit pissed about this, for obvious reasons considering there are other people who uploaded the same exact type of video, there's something I have yet to understand:

In the same Email, YouTube told me that since this is the first time that happen, I'd just receive a notify about it, but the next time I'll receive a warning and then potentially, If I unintentionally upload the wrong type of video too many times, I could loose my channel.

But here's the thing: If a video from a CoD Zombie-like teletubbies game got deleted from my channel because it apparently "Incites hatred and promotes terrorist acts", how could I know what to upload in the first place? Even a Rainbow six gameplay could potentially be taken down since there are bombs to be disarmed at this point.

Thank you for your time everyone.

YouTube Channel Blocked ?

Has anyone seen a YouTube channel with a lot of subscribers suddenly get blocked or terminated without warning? What are usually the real reasons behind this?

I always thought big channels were safer, so I wanted to understand what actually triggers YouTube to take such strong action. Copyright, spam detection, reused content, fake engagement, or something else?
