Hey so I'm a french furry that never really engaged as much as I wanted in the furry community so please be patient if I don't know stuff.

I'm finally in a financial position that allows me to think about getting a frusuit and since I have a convention at the end of March I thought I would try to look into it but I'm a little lost at all the information, especially since I never commissioned any artist in my life (except for tattoos I guess...).

To that you also have to add that I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user and I have concerns about temperature regulation.

So realistically I'm not going to be able to do a full suit. Sad since I've been fascinated by them since I was 11 when I saw one in a convention but such is life. So I'm kinda split between just a head or a mini partial. Any advice or feedback on that? My understanding is also that a TPU or other 3D printed based would be better for comfort and temperature regulation compared to the classic foam. Is my assessment right? How do I know what techniques a fursuit maker uses?

Also, on a more general basis, how do you find a fursuit maker? How do you choose them? I've had people advice me on looking into Chinese fursuit maker but the internet is really big and confusing when it comes to finding stuff. And there are so many scams. And even if it's not a scam, it seems like some things are at least dubious (Meowfursuits...?).

I'm looking to commission a kemono style relatively basic feline (yes I know how original), and I'd like if possible to stay under a 1000€. This budget can be re-evaluate if needed if I'm completely out of touch. I understand art has a price.

So like, any pointer on where to start looking? Any tips to avoid scams? Any fursuit maker names that might match with my project or I might like ? I've been looking on Instagram and the world wide web but are there any platforms I should orient my research on? I'm kinda stressed about the idea of buying a made to order on my measurements things this expensive potentially coming from out of Europe. I can't really put my finger on why. Can people reassure me?

Btw I linked a drawing of a headshot I made recently as well as the plushie I made off of which it's bassed on and an old drawing i made ages back. I'm still in the process of learning to draw furry art and making a proper nice reference sheet. I hope it's helpful.

My OC has a very particular design there aren't any already made bases similar to it. I already have the 3D model of the head base (almost) done but I cant seem to find anywhere that does custom fursuit or just large prints.

I'm not asking for a finished fursuit head I'm just looking for a moving jaw head base for under like $150

Hey y'all, so I got my fusona done as compensation for a lost premade from MeowFursuits (after MONTHS of arguing with them because they didn't want to refund me) but I've since learned the company is very problematic and doesn't credit most of the real makers in their "studio." I was wondering if someone could help me find the makers of both of these suits? The first one is the custom they made me and the other one is the suit I was supposed to get had it not been lost in transit. I've been searching for months and made a post on rednote but nobody has found them so far. It's been almost a year of searching 🥲
