Really enjoyed painting this Genestealercults Sanctus. Black primer straight over the previous eBay paint job, then used the faster techniques I've been using for my GSC. But then used a few of the techniques for my Aeldari/Eldar to just top it up.

The shelf is starting to look full! For years I resisted getting into 40k thinking I’d never be able to commit to so much painting as a person who never picked up a brush, but I’m happy with the progress I’ve been making. Not much longer now till I’ll have a full 2000 points painted up and ready to go!

Hi everyone! I have a bunch of Tyranids and they're super fun to play but sometimes I wonder if I should branch out into Genestealer Cults, especially with the Final Day detachment letting me use some of my Vanguard Invaders units as part of the army.

What I am wondering is if Genestealer Cults are fun in terms of hobby (painting, modelling) and playstyle, and if so which units I should invest in if I would focus on a primarily GSC&Tyranid army mix for when I play them?

Finally finished painting the guy! Color scheme is a home brew chapter called Ursine Sentinels

Looking to convert pieces of this 30k Solar Auxilla kit into my new GSC army - how would you split the pieces?

Flamers with the flamer units like Acolytes and Metamorphs makes sense, adding extra limbs where needed ofc. But maybe the heads and backpacks are better off with Neophytes or Atalans?

Let me know how you’d adapt these into the cult!

Title says it all - I visited Warhammer World over the last few days, and it was amazing.

The exhibition is a must-see, with many classic dioramas on exhibit that warmed my old heart (Emperor vs Horus has a special place in my heart), and all of the displays were just awesome. I do think the Old World dioramas might have one-shotted me though and inspired me to get back into rank-and-flank Hammer.

I even got a game in myself, using my smuggled-in Genestealer Cults who acquitted themselves bravely in their first 11th edition game (but ultimately lost).

To anyone taking the trip, I can recommend walking a bit further and also visiting Warlord Games, and if possible attending their tour each Friday - 2-3 hours of chatting with their CEO and design team and seeing their production process. It‘s a neat addition for all wargamers interested in “behind the scenes“-information even if their games are not your style.

Hello ! I just wanted to know if anyone as done a desert painting on his genestealer. I want mine to be in a beige color. I wanted to start with a wraithbone base. Do you have any model in the same vibe as an example or name of paint to achieve this ?

After using it to give my gsc a zenithal I noticed it left a super weird shine so I went to go strip the models of their paint only to figure out that this paint turns into a weird film that is insanely hard to get off of my gsc🫩 anyone know how to get this stuff off

Just finished basing my genestealers and patriarch. Working on aberrants and kelermorph next.

Used Von Ryan’s Leaper plus Genestealer to convert to a slightly larger, slightly tougher, slightly better armoured Genestealer. I’m not going to make 30 of these, but rather, use them as Sargents to mark a stealer unit as being upgraded When using the Broodswarm 1DP detachment.
