Hopefully, it won’t be too annoying and/or out of blue to share a cover here, especially one striped from any electronic elements that makes Ooh Rap I Ya tracks and Clanton works, in general, so banger. Absolutely love the song, the ambient warmth that envelops and I’ve gained even more emotional appreciation of the songwriting element from an attempt to cover it. One thing off, I kinda zoned out too much before entering the first chorus in time and had to awkwardly condense the rhythm pattern in the very first hook to catch up with time, sorry for that. Maybe someone finds it pleasant to their ears otherwise. Cheers!

The bracket was set up randomly so some really hard decisions were made here 😢

I only got around to checking out the first album, Soft Swerve, through Bandcamp recently, as it seems to not be available anywhere else. I thought it was... challenging. That is a kinder way of saying terrible. BUT the ironic enjoyment was off the charts because several songs are just hilarious, and with the very obvious M.I.A., Ke$ha and general late 00s pop influence, I found it impossible to truly hate.

Have you taken the time to listen yet? What do you think? If not, do, as I believe every lightly masochistic Gemmy fan should...

Has anyone been able to find tickets under $80? All ticket platforms have them listed for $80+ which is highly irregular for GC shows. www.georgeclanton.com returns with a "404 error page not found". Would greatly appreciate if someone could drop a link for me! Looking for tix to his Brooklyn show Nov 11.
