I know that it just re opened, and now I’m seeing it is closed due to a timber fire. I am coming from LA, planning to take my girlfriend to Monterey and drive back down on Big Sur on Friday . will we be able to at least experience part of it ?
when I smoke a joint I’ll take a hit and of course it will still be smoking while I cough and then continue to smoke. especially when in a group of people already tipsy they will just yap and let it burn . I have to wonder about how much of that smoke is wasted and gone into the air instead of in my lungs ? would you guys say it is actually a substantial amount being lost or is it negligible ? I try to not cough and hit it more again to prevent this loss . it is also why I prefer pipes TBH. pack a small bowl and if I want more I pack more, but at least there isn’t more bud being burned away into oblivion
I’d have thousands . time I just can’t get back thanks to this . I know people will say , “why not just make playlists “ but I like to listen to new music often and don’t always want to immediately add the songs to my library, and check them out first … then without it being in my recently played history due to them not getting a play I have no way of knowing what those songs that I was initially intrigued by more. I often spend a good amount of time curating these queues just for them to disappear if I click on a song from the artists library or search as opposed to a playlist, the player just disappears. or actually clicking on a song ahead which wipes the queue .

anyone else’s Spotify experiencing a lot more bugginess and lag recently ? Mine has been these past few weeks but especially the last 2 days it will just randomly crash and music will stop playing. it can be especially frustrating when I’m driving and the app just closes

I live in LA so I’m lucky to have a strong hyperpop and rave scene , but most local raves just have terrible ,repetitive , uninspired techno hardstyle house music ..
I can’t help but imagine how much cooler and hype it would be if I was at a rave that played some cooler music .
are there any dariacore type raves or festivals out there ? (not just LA , but in the world in general.. I would pay so much to go to one tbh )
it made the rounds in like 2017-2020 as a meme but I believe it was originally probably a real ad , if I was to guess between the 90s to 2000s but the quality of the version I saw was very crunchy and distorted. I remember there was like a happy face , it must have been a local chain, not something too big as I can’t remember the name of it . My friend said it was a burger restaurant. it was animated . does anyone know where I could find it , is it lost media or had this now been found ?

it seems in the last year or so, out of nowhere all of my favorite artists once “underground “ now are having their ticket sales scalped to upwards of hundreds of dollars. specifically happening today with ninajirachi, but I’ve experienced this with Lucy bedroque, Jane remover , slayr, bleood, kuru, Geese, etc.
why is this happening? Is it just my bad luck of the draw living in LA where everyone is too tapped in and tickets go quick? Is it purely because of scalping ? im glad these artists are getting attention don’t get me wrong, but I feel as though they’re still not popular enough to justify these insane prices. Sure they’re highly coveted and praised in underground circles but that’s it … I guess these scalpers just see the hype and take advantage ?
it just really sucks that now only the rich can afford these tickets when I’ve been listening to them and supporting them for years . I wish there was some kind of regulation with this . Sorry this is kind of a venting post it’s Just been frustrating for the last few months putting up with this .
i guess the only option is just being well connected in these circles to have early access.
this last part is gonna sound pretentious but there has got to be some sort of system where you can apply for early tickets based on how big of a fan you are , either with how much you listen or how long , not sure how they would measure it.
im tired of LARP bandwagon rich kids getting all the tickets to these shows just to take a video of the artist’s TikTok hit or whatever and then be completely disrespectful to true fans .
even when I went to see HUM at slide away fest this past weekend there was some drunken people saying “wait what’s this band called?” Like seriously ?! You spent 70$ to go to a festival for bands you don’t even know ?! meanwhile the rest of us have to budget for months to have the extra money to spend on these shows ?!!
