Sulfur [alternate spelling: Sulphur, also referred to as Brimstone]

To first understand sulfur, we must first understand the Three Primes (Tria Prima). The Three Primes being Sulfur, Mercury and Salt. These are our foundational spiritual and material building blocks. [I’m trying to build with you, not with Legos.]

Mercury represents the Fluid Intellect or spirit.

Salt represents the Physical Body.

Sulfur represents the Soul (Anima).*

*[I personally see the Soul as both our Nature and our Spirit unified together in unison.] It is the essential identity of a substance. Too often our true essence is cloudy because the world polutes it.

When you take both reservoirs of good and bad, mix them together and distill the trash out (what the world added unto you), this is where your labyrinth becomes a place where you’re safe where there’s no stepping on the graves.

This is where you take the alloy God has given you to forge your own Sword. The Sword of the Spirit (s/o bladee), represents the Word and how we use it. It’s a double-edged Sword, meaning that it splits both the natural and the spiritual appart.

We want to keep the Spiritual and discard what’s natural while accepting the Natural that is still within us. We can think about cutting the bad branches in the vine or draining the bad blood away. That exponentially raising our % of Purity while simultaneously increasing our intelligence.

I saw people wondering and asking why bladee talks about silver more than gold, it’s way more realistic on a spiritual alchemical level to be at 92.5%.

Back to Sulfur.

If you look at the symbol in the image, you can see an upward triangle which is the universal sign for Fire. It represents the energy ascending and our righteous aspirations.

The cross underneath represents Matter, the 4 Elements.

Sulfur’s symbol communicates the need for Spiritual Fire to dominate and rise out and over the Matter.

In a spiritual laboratory (s/o bladee), Sulfur acts as the catalyst. It represents the inherent fire inside matter, it is what causes it to transform during heating.

During the initial phase of the Great Work** [see below for the whole process]—the Nigredo (the blackening or decomposition)—the harsh, impurities of the sulfur must be cleansed.

Raw sulfur can be foul-smelling, corrosive, and destructive (think of literal brimstone).

The alchemist's job is to extract the Volatile Sulfur (uncontrolled passion or raw chemical reactivity), purify it, and fix it into a stable, radiant form.

The Fixed Sulfur—which gives the final Philosopher's Stone its permanent power to resist decay and transform lesser metals towards gold.

It also refers to the Materia Prima, an idea in “occult” sciences that all matter in the universe emerged from an original, primitive base.

All that has calcified ৡ** **within us is removed ⌫ in a similar manner to how hardened plaque buildup on teeth can be removed.

Our preconceived notions about our identity and our** limiting core beliefs are put to the test **in the calcination ৡ stage.

Our ideologies and neuroses* begin to lessen their grip on the persona, enabling the spiritual alchemist to stop ■ self-sabotaging behavior and take ► the first steps towards awakening.

Dissolution can be understood as the stage in which we free ourselves from our inauthentic and acquired sense of identity.

It can be understood in Jungian terms as the dissolution of the ego. Since the dissolution stage takes water ꕀ as its symbol, it is also associated with intense emotions, as water ꕀ often symbolizes the reservoir of emotions within.

⇠Separation⇢** is a very liberating stage **where we can free ourselves of resentment towards ourselves and others.

It is a kind of inner liberation from negative emotions.

By doing so, we can become aware of our true feelings. We ⇠separate⇢** **ourselves from our inauthentic selves and step closer to our essential or higher self.

The** ⇠separation⇢ **occurs when we no longer identify with the character we have been playing, but rather we become the awareness itself.

After the emptiness and suffering in the first stage of calcination, and then the fearful stage of dissolution where hidden emotions emerge, the ⇠separation⇢ stage comes as a welcome relief as we experience the stillness *of being ⇠separated⇢* from *our inferior and* *inauthentic qualities.**

Putrefaction/Fermentation, Putrefaction, or fermentation, is the fifth stage and describes the decay of one’s old self and the rebirth of one’s true self.

The first four stages involved discarding our old, inauthentic self and drawing →together← the authentic elements →within← us. At this stage, however, we catch a glimpse of a more refined, authentic self. This stage can be likened to the rebirth of the phoenix from its own ashes.

The process can be split into two: putrefaction and spiritualization.
Putrefaction is the rotting away of our former selves as the superfluous is let go.

Putrefaction can be a difficult stage and can involve strong feelings of depression or despair since we fear losing our identity, which is associated with our old self.

I've been listening to this album non stopped since 11am...

Honestly I didn't really have any expectations for this album good or bad, I was however very curious what it would be about/sound like due to all the things Bladee has said about where he is in his career on his more recent work like Cold Visions. I was really hoping he would continue the high fantasy themes hes been using in more recent years and it seems he went all out. It never fails to blow my mind how he can keep making new sounds/waves that sound entirely unique. I think the cover art is his best yet. Also its so great to have whitearmor back on the reigns for production no shade to our other goats, I just needed a vein full of Whitearmor sound Overall I think this album is outrageously great and I have a feeling there more to come. 🏄‍♀️🏄‍♀️🏄‍♀️
