I had taken admission in GEHU Dehradun in May in BTech CSE

then i got seat in Doon Uni so i withdrew my admission from GEHU and did all paperwork or form filling for refund on 15 June
Now its been more than 60 days but i have not received my refund

The college landline number on website is not working its just saying "All agents are busy rn we will call back later" But no callback is coming

I emailed them before 60 days so they said that it will take 45-60 days so i waited but now after 60 days they are not replying to emails also

i dont have the refund office contact number 😓

I’m a B.Tech CSE ’26 passout from the GEHU Dehradun campus, and I just wanted to share my honest POV about the placement scenario I observed during our batch.

I saw the university posting several big packages and impressive placement numbers. However, from what I observed, the reality for a large majority of students was quite different.

Our batch had approximately 2,000 students, and from what I saw, only around 30–40 students managed to get packages of 10+ LPA. For the majority, offers were in the 3–4 LPA range, with mass recruiters such as TCS, Infosys, LTIMindtree and Cognizant. Another major issue was the significant delay in joining and other post-selection processes for some of these companies.

The placement management and scheduling were also frustrating at times. There were instances where students were initially told that they were not shortlisted for an interview, only to receive a call around 7–8 PM asking them to come to campus immediately for an interview. After reaching the campus, some students were either denied the interview or given a very short 2–5 minute interaction before being rejected.

The shortlisting criteria were also difficult to understand. Even when students met the required percentage and CGPA criteria, they were sometimes not allowed to appear for the assessment. The CAP system was another major concern because getting one offer could block students from participating in further opportunities, depending on the package/company.

Overall, I would say that the majority of companies offered packages in the 3–7 LPA range, while the higher packages were limited to a relatively small number of students.

I’m not trying to disrespect the university or deny the achievements of students who got excellent packages. There are genuinely some very good opportunities and talented students on campus.

My concern is mainly with the way placement statistics and packages are presented. A large number of the impressive packages highlighted by the university appear to include off-campus opportunities, where the university’s direct role in securing the job was limited and the students earned those opportunities largely through their own skills and hard work.

This is simply my personal observation and experience from the 2026 batch, and I’m sharing it so that future students can have a more realistic understanding of the placement scenario rather than judging it solely from the headline package numbers.
